i also got mine on a Saturday and just got a biometric request today (i submitted my app on Oct/15th). i think we are getting there, as long as your apps are not returned by now, you should be good.. just a matter of time...good luck to all
What time of day did the AOR arrive at?

Tried calling IRCC last week and was informed that my application has not had a completeness check yet which I'm finding baffling considering that I'm early October and many people seem to have had it done a few months back. Anyone else had this sort of news from them?

In case some of you are wondering, you can get a temporary Health card with an AIP. The health card is valid for one year until you get the full PR at which time you can apply for a regular Health card. But the coverage starts right away.

Make sure to go to a public Service Ontario .e.g. 47 Sheppard Avenue and bring a copy of the AIP, Document showing address of residence and an ID. No appointments needed.

We’re also October Applicants and haven’t got anything except the Temp Application Number December 10th . Only says when our application was received and nothing has been done to it so far. It’s quiet frustrating as we were told when we applied we would have PR by 12 months yet it doesn’t make sense to why we applied and paid for a work permit application when nothing has been done to our file and we’re just about 8 months in to the apparent 12 month wait. While expecting our second child next month. Why people are getting farther ahead in November and December is making me beyond frustrated

November 5. No AOR. 7 months and counting. And if our app gets returned then it's going to be another half a year wait for AOR. Absolutely appalling.

Ours better not get returned considering we paid thousands out of pocket to have a lawyer do it for us and make sure everything needed was included !! I hope everyone here’s back by the end of this month.

When I spoke to IRCC a while back, they said that if it hadn’t been returned by now that it probably means it’s all good!

Hi all.
Very sad news my app was returned OWP and PR application. Inland received Oct 16th. So devastated they waited 8months to return. I forgot to put Ireland in the address for my mother. Super frustrated as I payed thousands to a lawyer to make sure this didn't happen. My visitor visa expired a few weeks after and I was told I didn't need to apply for a new one as I had "implied status". Now I have no status and a returned package. Now im unsure to cancel and go home and apply outland as I haven't seen my family in almost two years, leaving my spouse behind and risking not getting back to Canada with the pandemic, or re submit and hope I don't go to the back of the queue again and not see my family for at least another year. My lawyer mentioned I've lost my chance of getting an owp now as i've no status so that's why im thinking would outland be better.

I also have dual citizenship so could I apply for an IEC and resubmit so I can hopefully can work? i've already been 8 months without working!!!

For those of you who had their application returned what was the timeline like after re submitting?
Super devastating day..
If anyone could help me with some advice I would be so grateful..

Yes. Blew my mind when we opened it and saw that was the only reason. We had received the biometrics email, pre aor email with temp application number. Then got it returned incomplete

This is so sad. I remembered how I cried when I saw my whole package returned last year. Originally submitted application in April 2020, it was returned after 6 months of waiting.so we resubmit November last year and so far, it's accepted this time. I would suggest that you talk to an IRCC lawyer, they are experts.

Thats horrific that they're still returning applications from October, I guess mine is also a possibility for that since it's not been checked yet, sorry to hear about this :( applying for IEC would be a good bet in my opinion, depending on what your second citizenship is (I'm guessing you've already done it with your Irish passport?), you'll probably get a permit via IEC faster than with PR, then you can reapply during that time :)

By the way, did your application get returned via post or via e-mail? Resubmitting essentially puts you at the back of the queue, its so unfair.
