@legalfalcon

Firstly, thank you for all the help and inputs you have given all over this forum. we need more people like you.

I wanted to ask your opinion about my case. although there is nothing wrong with it at all, i just wanted to know your thoughts.

My AOR is 9th Nov and since then everything has been perfectly moving i.e. medicals and biometrics. since everything was moving smoothly, i never bothered to open my CIC account every second day to see if there is movement, i checked once in a week or once in two weeks however i checked my mails regularly.

I also never bothered to call IRCC and ask about my status and where my file is or what steps have been completed. I did however raise a GCMS notes request from the link in your signature on 22nd May 2021.

My question is, have i missed any ghost updates or is there a chance there has been no movement at all on my file yet and that's why i haven't got any GU / GU mails? I usually don't let my anxiety get the best of me but today it has my attention so i thought of checking with you.

Thanks in advance!
yea its quite possible youve missed ghost updates, but theres been cases of ppl tracking their account and simply getting their ppr without ghost updates (or missed them through the night or something) its always hard to tell

You will see a ghost update when you log in, irrespective of the frequency you check your MyCIC. There will be a message that you have an update, but you won't see any in terms of the status. A GU only indicates a movement in your file. Some applicants see 5-8 GUs, others see no GU at all and get an approval.

Don't get too engrossed with a GU and what it means. Just make sure that you keep an eye on your account for any additional information IRCC needs. Once you receive your GCMS notes, you will be able to see where your application stands.

Thank you for the clarification! I have read mixed replies on the GU topic so i will just wait it out and refer to the notes.

Good day!

Looks like most FSW-O applications are sent to LVO's without passing eligibility but PNP-O applications are still at CIO with eligibility passed. What is the last updated date in your GCMS notes?

Do you guys even follow this thread? It has been repeated many times and On MyImmitracker you can see the same - FSWO and in general PNP and FSW are not touched since January - whatever Eligibility/Criminality you partially passed - it was done then. Wait till restrictions will be at least partially lifted and maybe they will reconsider and start processing applications again - otherwise until 2022 no chance of processing.

Whoever calls or sends webforms is just misinterpreting the responses about validity of documents or case processing agents checks (1st primary checks, not final). GCMS is only way to be sure you passed something. Unless you got like 5 notes - don’t think you really passed Eligibility.

One or two FSW-O got the PPR because they are US residents (no travel restrictions), it’s not your case if you are anywhere outside US. Instead you start thinking it applies to everyone.

Positive thinking is one thing, but being falsely optimistic is another. Be realistic, 2022 - here we go!

Why are you mad? I was mainly commenting about PNP-O not getting sent to LVO's.

Not mad at all. Just ridiculous to read like people fell from the sky and didn‘t follow the situation for 5 months, now being surprised their GCMS show nobody touched their files since January. What did you really expect, a miracle? Trend is a trend, if they have instruction not to touch the files - they don’t touch it for everyone.

Especially how people think that a webform response means they passed everything (non-CEC i mean), when it’s just misinterpretation.

Not sure what the rant is about. There have been posts on forums here from people (outlanders) who have seen updates in their GCMS notes as recently as April/May.

CEC Inland AOR 17th Nov:
I just inquired through the web form and I got the below response:

  • The eligibility background verification is in process.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is in process.
How long it will take for ircc to complete this? @legalfalcon I guess criminal and security occur at the same time right?

My most recent webform response says eligibility and security is "valid". Should I also start misinterpreting valid as not passed or in progress? I do NOT believe that outland files have not been touched since January. That's quite absurd. I dont know when the PPR will come, but this I'm quite certain of.

Criminality check I based on PCCs and the biometrics you submit. see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/corporate-initiatives/biometrics/process-steps-2018.html

Security is the usual the last stage and is initiated after eligibility is passed. see https://bit.ly/3apWglN
