We just got AOR1 today and I just linked my account. If in the GCKey portal it says:
  • You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
  • We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Does this mean I am exempt from both biometrics and the medical exam? Or is it just the generic text until they've scheduled these appointments (hence "We will send you a message if this changes")? I have never submitted either biometrics or a medical exam to Canada.

Generic text. You'll get instructions later.

I submitted my application on 22 March 2021
Medical request: 04 May 2021
Medical done on 12 May 2021. But it's still not updated on my account. Then I contacted the hospital and they have notified me that my report has been submitted on 13 may 2021. Is it normal? Anyone with same experience???
Yes, my wife medical request came in on May 14th and we completed the medical on 21st May but still no updates on the account.

Hello everyone!
Does anyone know the average cost (or range) for a medical examination in Canada? What does the medical examination fee cover? Is x-ray included in the fee?
It took $270 in my case(x-ray included) I assume the average is $250~300 depending on clinics though.
You can check the cost on the website of each clinic or ask the clinic near your place in advance.

Hello Guys, I Linked my application with CIC and i have a CIC account. I received an email to send additional information.

It is giving me 3 options.
1. to upload it to my account.
2. send it through to case inquiry.
3 To mail it to a address.

I cannot see the upload option in my CIC account. This account is 1 month old now and I received the message in my cic account.

Any guidance would be helpful.
Thank you

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re fine. Finally the day came. They’re requesting 2 PCC. They gave me only 60 days. When should I contact them if the time is too short (not because of my action, but because of the 2 countries -their borders are still closed) ?
Should I contact them after applying and asking them to extend the time (because the consulate clearly told me -over the phone- it’s going to take more than 2 months) or should I contact them when the time is almost over ?

Thank you.

Sorry to hear that. Personally I'd let them know after you've applied. Not sure it makes much difference though. (If you can get something from the consulate even a receipt to show them wld be good)

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before; I did try searching.

Does receiving the passport request letter, in which they state "You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your
Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa" imply that the application for PR is approved? The "steps" are pretty basic, just to send in two photographs and update any information that may have changed since the application was submitted.

The Google Sheet shows that some people have received approval before the passport request letter, others received approval after the letter.

Yes, it means approved.

Medical exam question...

Got the medical request on this Monday (June 7). There's three panel physicians in NB and can't leave the province due to covid restrictions. One specifically won't take people from my city because there's another panel physician in my city. Another one doesn't answer the phone and has no way to leave a message or other contact info. The third has you email them to ask for an appointment then sends an auto reply saying "we might take three weeks to reply to you to schedule"and if you're calling about an immigration medical exam they refuse to talk on the phone... I feel rather defeated and stumped on how I'm supposed to do the medical exam. In anticipation of the Atlantic bubble hopefully reopening I looked at Dr's in PEI and NS and they either will only take residents of their respective province and/or are booking for December. Am I totally missing something on how to get the medical done? Should I be calling IRCC and asking for an extension (do they even give extensions)?

I didn't understand the problem with the first one.
