Hi,
I need a advice. Currently I am on work permit. On the basis of my work permit, I applied for TRV while I was in Canada. But then because of some family emergency, i had to travel to India before the approval. Last month I received the PPR request. As I applied for TRV in canada but received approval while I am India, can I send my passport for stamping in India?
I did raise multiple webform to ottawa office, to get authorization to send my passport to dehi office for stamping. But no respond till now. It’s more than a month now. I made multiple calls to IRCC but no solution. Please suggest if I can send my passport for stamping to office in Delhi.

same issue here, I'm yet to receive PPR request but travelled to India due to an emergency.
Someone here advised me that passports can be sent to VFS for stamping, and we can to fill in a req form for that. Let me know if you hear any solution

Yes you can. You just have to pay the vfs fees in India. Vfs offices are currently closed so you’ll have to wait until you they resume operations

You don’t have to get authorization. All you have to do is pay the vfs fees and submit your passport through the 2 way courier service. You can submit your passport in any country as long as you’re physically present there

Are you sure any country? I saw somewhere in this forum that it's illegal to send (by regular mail) / courier Indian passport from one country to India or from India to another country.

Yes you’re right it’s illegal. You cannot send your passport by mail to a different country. You have to be physically present in that country to submit your passport via 2 way courier service in the country you are in. For example if you are in the US, you can submit your passport to the nearest vfs office there via the 2 way courier service. The same goes for India as well

It doesn’t matter. I’m in the same situation. I applied for TRV from within Canada and I came to India right after. My application was prioritized after I provided proof that I normally live in Canada and that I had to return to work. I received ppr over a month ago. Now I’m just waiting for vfs to resume services

But it does sound like you had to send an email informing that you had travelled to India and would like to get stamping in India in order to return to Canada for work. Assume you then got PPR from that contact.

Hi.. May I know the status of your Passport submission please? I am in a similar situation. I got my work permit extended and applied for TRV. I am planning to travel to India in first week of August. I was thinking of submitting my Passport in VFS India once TRV application is approved. Also, what documents did you send for priority processing?
