thought I’ll share some positivity here
Got my travel authorisation approved under extended family member category
I have trv in progress where I’m asked for passport submission now
Applied on May 14
Received approval on June 1
Reason stated - for mental stability and apply marriage license in canada

Attached detailed reason for travel doc, fiancé passport, PR, my payslip

Had it mentioned in detailed reason for travel doc that I’d be staying at fiancé’s and I’m financially independent to take care of my own expenses
Hope it helps
Good luck and hope you will get yours soon
Congrats, hope I get answer as well, I already have TRV and just needed letter and waiting from April 26th

You will get it soon
I would have sent a follow up if were to wait from April 26 coz it’s past 14 working days
I did send a follow up and interestingly they answered that:

I believe as always IRCC response and processing is very random and based on luck!

Does he have a TRV? When do you graduate? What were his essential reasons to travel?

I am still studying, he has no visit visa..said its been more than 5 months we r staying apart and need him for emotional support
When do you graduate? Did you provide letters from your doctor that you needed him in Canada. If applied from Dubai processing is over a year. You will need the TRV first.

You can’t prioritize your application as you are not a citizen or PR. Why didn’t you apply for an open work permit? His TRV has a chance of refusal unless he presented strong ties to his home country.

Hey can someone plz help me
I am a student here in canada and my husband is in dubai. We applied his visa in Dec 2020 and finished biometrics in jan 2021. I raised a travel auth on May 17th and received a refusal on 4th June. Meanwhile I had a very rough phase and in last week of May that is on 31st May my father passed away. Now my question is can I apply for travel auth again mentioning the things happened and I need family support in these difficult times. Anyone who got their travel auth approved can you please tell me how we can make ircc believe that we need support from our loved ones. Any response is highly appreciated

Thank you

I know Ranga0585 husband got refused and it is sad but in the meantime how come someone gets answer way faster than others even though it is from same region and it is a refusal? Do they send refusals faster? Think about others? :D The way that IRCC processes requests has always amazed me!!!

Sorry about your father’s passing. The issue is that he hasn’t been approved for his visitor visa, correct? And processing is over a year from Dubai. The issue is that if you apply for travel authorization, and if approved, it will state when he needs to enter by. If he doesn’t enter by that date then he has to apply for authorization again.

The issue why her husband may have got a fast refusal is because he doesn’t have an approved visitor visa.
