New PR confirmation portal

I appreciate ya, brother (or sister)! I don't mean to be nihilistic. I've been here 12 years, and for me, I know really well the reason(s) for which I want to remain here and why I am still waiting patiently despite all the let downs and problems this country has to offer (which country doesn't have problems?).

However, it still pains me to see some of my friends waiting since the first quarter of 2020 to receive their PRs when there are blokes who applied at the beginning of this year and getting theirs in 2-3 months.

To summarise, it just boggles my mind that their system doesn't have a "sort by date" option for applications, especially for this fancy new confirmation portal they've decided to implement to finalise the process.

I just want you to know that you are not alone with this whole scenario. I agree that they need to optimize their system. But it is also fair play because they have introduced many plans for immigration, just meeting their targets with an IELTS score 6 or above, and getting out of the pool, is not easy for everyone, which is why someone has to wait for 21 months+ and some can just receive theirs within 6 months, as they are prioritized.

In conclusion, I just believe that everything will turn out great if you follow the path, and don't cheat through your process. Even you go through different programs, "the golden mailed day" will be 1 more day closer.

I really want to encourage someone who is emotionally raining here, and help them go through this pain because there are several times that I have been living in the shadow+some confusion from the past.

I totally agree with you. IRCC does not have any timeframe for anything. I think they are not aware of FIFO at all. I understand that every case is different but they must prioritise processing applications according to the submission.

I had suffered this pain as I am CEC inland applicant AOR : Jan 2020. After exact 16 months I received portal email from Etobicoke. I was bit relaxed that finally they thought that I am also waiting since that long. Now Etobicoke is making me realise that wait is not yet over. Submitted everything required on portal on 21 May and still waiting....

They do not feel the pain at all.

I got ya. But FIFO only applies according to Food Safety, lol. Their job is to guard Canada's safety and make sure applicants will not be a burden for the country at any cost. Hope you can find something to balance your joy and sadness and live happily.

Yes, I can log in mine with the temporary password, but you will have to change the password to your style ASAP. Or else, I am not sure about the deactivate within 24 hours.

Make sure the email and password is exactly as is sent on the email. Copy and paste if you can. Once logged in it will require you to change the password then log in again. The temporary password is good for 14 days but if it expires you can click on forgot password and you can create another one. Try copy pasting first

Make sure you include the colon if it's there on the temp. password, e.g., :12dk4Wg.
