I had a Note on my GCMS when I called call canter. In notes they just mentioned that I called and asked about the status. It was under INCOMING section.

Are you sure it was a call and not a webform?

It does not matter where you finish the program within 1 or 2 years or longer. for CRS points, what matters is what is the credential. Whether it is a diploma, bachelor's or a graduate degree.

Since your degree is a diploma, you can only claim points for that.

You Sir are a legend! :D

Dear @legalfalcon
hope you are doing well.
Appreciate your time and effort to answer our queries.

I have to ask one more query.
After the AOR, my home address has changed, its in the same city but about 5-6mins drive distance from the previous address.
Do I have to change the address or its still fine?

Hello @legalfalcon

Hope you're keeping up well. Thank you for your time to answer our queries! I've the following doubt:

1) I'm a FSW Outland applicant. My AoR was Jan 2020 and I've been waiting since.

2) I was supposed to study MBA at Brock from Sep 2020 but I got it deferred to Sep 2021 due to the pandemic. Now, I think Sep 2021 isn't feasible as IRCC isn't approving FSW Outlanders yet.

3) In the meantime, I applied to various universities in USA and got through into couple of reputed ones. Now, I'm thinking of going to the US on F1 Visa and continue my PR application with Canada.

If I decide to pursue this route, my country of residence will change and I think following documents might need change:

- Police Clearance for US stay
- Medicals to be done in US

Apart from this, do you see any factors that might affect my PR application?

Thanks,
Neeraj Bhide

Hi @legalfalcon

One query, If someone has the mail correspondence between us and IRCC and they see the IRCC registered email address of a PR applicant then is there any way for them to harm the applicant using it? like checking back with IRCC or doing something malignant against the applicant?

Also, note that the person doesn't have the APPLICATION NUMBER or the UCI number of the applicant. He just has his ircc registered personal email address and his FULL name.

Would appreciate your feedback on this. thanks

An email address by itself cannot be used. However, your UCI, application number and date of birth are required to make any changed to your application or contact IRCC on your behalf.

As long as your country of residence does not change, there I no need to update as all correspondence from IRCC happens via electronic means.

You only have to update IRCC of your change of address after you move to the US.

No PCC or medicals are required, unless asked by IRCC.

Medical are valid for 12 months and do not have to be from any specific country.

@legalfalcon can one's application be refused for incompleteness due to not submitting a document in time? I was only given 30 days to upload RCMP clearance but RCMP told me to inform IRCC it will take 120 days for me to get that which i did but havent heard back from IRCC. And I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting for RCMP.

There are delays in hearing back from IRCC as well, just wait to hear back and shouldn't have to worry if you have followed the instructions.

If I received my PR with my spouse not accompanying
Can I still sponsor my spouse visa spousal sponsorship?
Do I need to provide any explanation with my application of why I didn't include my spouse in previous PR application?

Hi @legalfalcon,

Please I'll like to know if the visa office handling the issuance of my new (first) PR card would be the same as the office that processed my PR application? Thank you.
