@ Legalfalcon Thankyou for your reply.. Here I have this question if currently I do not add my spouse to my application as he is already on student visa and studying there. Do I still need to inform IRCC about my marital status if yes then How?? As we will apply for his PR once I reach there as it’s already been 16 months and Are there any complications with regard to changed marital status at the time of landing? Recently somebody told to go back just because of changed marital status..
It does not matter whether your spouse is in Canada on a student visa, a Canadian PR or a Canadian citizen. If your family composition changes as a result of marriage / child birth / divorce etc. you have to inform IRCC by sending a webform.

Unless your spouse is already a PR. / Citizen, you will have to submit your spouse's documents, irrespective of whether your spouse is accompanying or not, and your application will be subject to your spouse's medical, criminal and security inadmissibility.

Hi @legalfalcon

What about, me and my fiance (who is my dependant on the application) decided to get married from our common-law partnership?
All along he's already included as a common-law partner and accompanying spouse. We initially wanted to get married there but since everything is uncertain we decided to just move on with our lives while waiting. Would that matter so much on my application to change from common law to married?
It does not matter whether you are CL or married as long as you have included your CLP / spouse in your application.

There is no way to expedite the processing of an application. Your medicals have to be valid when you file your application, during your application is being processed as well as when you land. If your medicals have expired, IRCC can extend it, or ask for re-meds.

If you were asked for re-meds, then that is good as now your medicals are valid for anther year and as soon as your PPR is issued, there won't be any issues regarding medical validity and your PR visa / COPR will be valid for a longer duration.

Thank you for your opinions.but my 2nd medical is now 4 months gone.is there any possibility that I would get DM or ppr within the validity of the 2nd medical period.which is feb 2022.

No one can predict when a PPR will be issued amid all the delays with IRCC. However, the medicals are valid for 1 year, so you should receive a decision on your application before the expiry of the meds.

Hello @legalfalcon
I have applied for PR, my AOR is 31st Jan 2020. Since there is no news yet, I did not want to miss out on my masters program. Hence, I plan to apply for my student visa.
Question:
Can the funds which I had kept aside for my PR's POF be shown in the bank as adjunct funds for my study permit application? Or is there is a chance of misrepresentation?

You can show your own funds to support your Student visa application. There is no misrepresentation in that.

Congrats @mlcanada on your COPR. I wanted to ask if you got any notification when your COPR was approved (like on your IRCC profile or email) and how long after the approval did it take to get your passports?
