Sure but I'm not going to sit around hypothesizing and giving people dubious advice when I myself don't intend to take a similar risk. Simple.

If someone with actual experience on such things comes forward and says it's fine (or if there is official information on the matter), then sure, go for it. But I'm not going to take advice on matters that can potentially impact my life from some random forum that specializes in throwing around baseless theories.

If the lower score is his most recent score... I don’t see any problem with that. Ps.. I’m not sure the EE profile actually says choose your highest score.. even if it does it goes to no issue. If I recall correctly, the same pool says the information you put in there will not be used for your decision unless and till you receive an ITA. I for one did not declare all my employment, in the pool, immediately I got upto 3 years in my current work place, i took out all my previous employment cause I don’t want to go around begging for reference letter. At the end of the day, IRCC works with verifying what you have given them.. my thoughts though

Your example doesn't exactly apply. Not showing all previous employment is fine because it isn't affecting your score. You still got to 3 years, and that maxes out your work experience score. Anything else is actually redundant and not adding it is smart. And even if some doesn't add all work exp, claims 1 year and gets the ITA when the score falls below, that too is fine because you're not trying to manipulate the scoring system to get your CRS in a certain range to get a PNP nomination.

Like I said, the system is kind of broken now where having a certain score range is incentivized over maximizing your score. And realize also that this isn'y you taking the risk. You already have an ITA and are just waiting for it to get processed correct? Don't you think it's kind of disingenuous when someone in your position gives others unverified information that could negatively impact their chances of getting an ITA?

Haha I know. I just get annoyed at some people in this forum who pretend to know everything. One conspiracy theorist has left but more have taken his place.

I'm also not specifically taking about you @seadrag0n , we just disagree here, and that's fine. You already contacted legalfalcon who I assume knows more than us. So that's great. But it's the general mindset on these forums that annoys me a little.

Does it means they will make certain NOC codes ineligible ?
Or will it mean that some NOC codes will be given priority (with more points) ?

I am asking this question because my NOC is 6221 (Technical sales specialist) and i am confused on whether i should even bother improving my score or will it all be inconsequential if IRCC decides to give invitation to some specified NOCs only.

You are right, nobody knows on here... nobody. It’s a decision you will make by yourself... if you ask me, it all boils down to how much you want to immigrate, if you want it that badly, do all you can to increase your score and wait for what happens so that if it’s in your favour, you will get ita timeously... or you can wait and see what happens, after which you can start taking steps to increase your score. Mind you, fsw is getting hella competitive.

You can look at existing PNP streams to guess. In general, it seems to be catered towards including specific NOCs. But both Alberta and Saskatchewan for example, have a list of ineligible occupations, meaning they also specifically exclude some occupations. If EE adopts something like this, there's precedent for them to do either. If I had to guess, I'd say it's more efficient for them to just make a list of ocupations they want to include, rather than exclude.

If you want to risk messing around with your application, intentionally doing poorly on the exam, and choosing the lower score (even though the instructions explicitly tell you to choose the higher score), then go for it. Nobody knows if trying to lower your score would count as misrepresentation, but considering the intent, I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

I say the same thing for people with a measly B2 in french and picking that as their first language to get into the score range of Ontario french draws. Especially considering the EE profile creating page mentions to choose both options and pick the higher score. Yeah good luck living in fear of this ever coming up in the future and having to explain why you intentionally manipulated your score.

At the end of the day, you're trying to game the system. To be fair, the system happens to be a little broken right now, in the sense that lower scores are being rewarded and higher scores are being punished, but fact would remain that you tried to game it. Whether or not that will count as misrepresentation, I have no idea. To me, the risk is not worth having my application getting rejected, or worse, getting a PR and then this being brought up and affecting the citizenship application in the future.

I've never seen it indicated anywhere that French must be selected as the first language for the Ontario French language draw. The Ontario webpage simply indicates you need the required level in the two languages;

My advice is you need to be making a plan A, B, C and D for the coming years if your serious about Canada immigration. Apply for jobs, look at study options, learn French, shift your career, can you improve your spouse's score, etc. All previous bets in this game are now off sadly

I think you misunderstood me. You don't need french as the first language for the ontario french draws. I meant that a high english score with B2 french nets more points if you choose english as your first language. So there are people here saying you should select french as the first language to reduce your CRS and fall into the score range of the ontario draws. Which I think is a bad idea.

It's hard for any of us to guess since no one knows if and when the FSW draws will restart this year. There has also been talk about the federal government making changes to the program.

If you have opportunities to increase your score through learning French or something similar, then I would do that.

and there is BACKGROUND CHECK where everything about the applicant will be verified, there is no limits, since IRCC isn't disclosing their complete background checks scrutiny and procedures we don't know to what extent they'll go for this check. IRCC just publish the percentage of rejected cases but will never publish the reasons. When it comes to UK the background check is so strict that it checks the applicant's online and real life activities, since their priority of safeguarding populated cities they will even go the point of gathering IP addresses, work places, and financial activities includes history of money transfers, wire transfers etc. And I believe the USA and Canada will look into such backgrounds when it comes to determining an individual's admissibility to their country.

Yes you ,me and anyone who wants a safe and smooth life after gaining the status won't take a risk. But here the so called people who are throwing baseless theories aren't supporting anyone to do something to get an ITA apart from increasing the scores. The folks throwing baseless theories aren't advising anyone to game the system. I hope you understand this. This is my baseless point. After all they are just random netizens , why would we have to discuss / help anyone? . I am not supporting any applicant to choose a path that may affect their future. I believe you too won't.

On this same thread, read messages around October/Nov 2020, people near around cut off score are worried and in next draw they get ITA.I enjoyed reading their messages from doubt to sheer joy. If FSW starts it might be 500 + (Above 480 not lot people are there), however it cannot remain at same level. It will come down eventually in subsequent draws.

As someone who got extra points due to French and now sitting at 528 score, my main concern is the draws restarting again. I am less concerned about the points but more concerned about FSW not dying.
