Has anyone an idea about the new update of travel restrictions to Canada. It should be till or end on May 21, I don't know if it will extend or what will happen.

We are expecting them to be extended.

If you're asking specifically about India, Air Canada has already canceled all flights until late June.

I don't want to offend anyone but without any announcement about travel ban extension how you all are expecting that it will be extended. There are chances that it may not be extended but they can implement strict border rules.

Please don't trust unconfirmed reports or rumours. I think they should announce something soon. If not, think of alternate transit points you can use. Russia, Nepal may be feasible.

Today, the Government of Canada is extending the temporary travel measures restricting entry into Canada by foreign nationals until June 21, 2021.

below they say, they are extending flight restriction AND third country pre departure testing requirement for these countries… May be i interprete wrong,

“As the number of COVID-19 cases remain disproportionally high in India and Pakistan, we have extended our flight restrictions and third country pre-departure testing requirements for these countries. These ongoing measures are in place to help protect Canadians, and manage the elevated risk of imported cases of COVID-19 and variants of concern into Canada during a time of increasing pressure on our health care system.”

IMO it's very clear in both the video and the paragraph above. They have extended what was in place before. It's the same as before. No direct flights from India or Pakistan - and pre-departure testing for those who are transiting through third countries.
