I am also one of the candidates who received an NOI for Ontario's French-speaking stream. I put French as my second language. IETLS - CLB10/10/9/10 and TEF - CLB 10/10/7/10.

Thats a great score, what's your profession if I may ask? I am surprised that you did not get more points (assuming the published range of points is accurate).

I think I have clearly explained in my above post the two possible scenarios, and this one falls exactly in one of them, please read them again. To have CLB 9 in English and CLB 7 in French, you have to be missing big on education or age to fall in the range of 455 - 467 CRS points. So, as I said above, Ontario thinks that these candidates are good enough for them, but unfortunately, they have little chance to get an ITA from a FSW draw.
I am in the process of learning French to increase my score as well, so basically we are in the same boat. However, with a CLB 7 in French I will be in the 525 score range, very far away from what Ontario is aiming. Also, I am not blaming COVID for everything, just that it has contributed in changing the immigration game a lot.

Can you please tell us the real scores you got from the tests, because CLB is a score range, you can't have CLB 10 in IELTS reading for example.
Also, how it is possible for you to be in that score range? Can you tell us something more about your education and age?
Sorry, I'm not comfortable answering that question. However, if it helps, I have more than 15 years of experience. I got less points due to my education (graduate) and age.

Due to my education (graduate) and age (quite old), I am in that score range.

Not trying to sabotage your post, but the maximum you can get in IELTS reading is 9, CLB 10 is getting Reading-8, Writing-7.5, Listening-8.5 and Speaking-7.5.
I figured you had a disadvantage on your age or education to fall in that score range.

You answered / substantiated your own question. You can get a CLB 10 in reading if you get a score of 8 and above.

CLB 10 is equal to R-8, W-7.5, L-8.5, S-7.5 and above, having a score in any of the tests lower than that is not called CLB 10 anymore.
You seem very confused and are just going round in circles. You made an incorrect claim that a CLB 10 in reading is NOT possible. When you were corrected, you should have just gracefully accepted that you were wrong or you could have chosen to remain quiet. Instead, you are going on and on.
You must know that you are given points for each module separately. I never claimed that I got a CLB 10 in all modules. Check my post again (and while you are at it, yours too).
As far as you are concerned, this is the end of the conversation for me!

First of all, I did thank you for your clarifications and excused myself for not trying to sabotage your post.
Secondly, I was looking for the actual scores you got from the tests/modules/sections not the CLB (a CLB 10 in IELTS Reading can be an 8, 8.5 or a 9).
Lastly, now I understand the real difference between a Band 8 and a Band 9 scorer in the Reading section of IELTS. The Band 9 being me.

Hi I am in a similar boat - my age is the biggest drawback (and we are not getting any younger are we?!). I already have a brother in Canada and want to join him because post pandemic I realised what is important to me is to be closer to family. I am hoping the OINP works (just submitted my application, so now just need to wait!)

I read somewhere that the processing time is between 30-60 days! Let's hope that they reply sooner! Fingers crossed.
Well, I think in some cases it drags even 80-90 days (!!!) The express entry draws anyways may not be held before August so I guess the longer timeframe is still okay. In my case my IELTS score will expire in August and I doubt I will be lucky to have the PNP points added and the draw also happening. Anyways always hope for the best! BTW my IELTS was CLB 10 (Listening 9/Reading 8.5/Writing 8/Speaking 7.5)
