I had always prayed towards this day when I will be able to share my testimony. Please bear with me for my long post.

Timeline
AOR: August 16, 2019
MEP: Expired and then renewed
Biometrics: September 20, 2019
PPR: May 12, 2021

My journey started on August 16, 2019, when I submitted my application for permanent residency via the express entry scheme under the federal skilled worker category. My husband was a dependant. As a Graduate Assistant (NOC 4012), I submitted letters from my supervisors (teaching) and my principal investigator (PI to attest to my experience as a research assistant). I also turned in my pay stubs (for 2 years!) and a letter from the payroll department stating my employment title, annual salary, and date of employment.

We knew it could be a waiting game due to the pace IRCC works with, but we never knew it would be a roller coaster ride. After 7 months of waiting, in March 2020, we received a procedural fairness letter. The letter was just a spousal questionnaire and so I wasn't bothered. However, when I called the call center, I was told that the document sent to me was more than just the questionnaire. The officer was asking me to address the assumptions that: my work experience was not believed as genuine, my marriage was also not believed as genuine (since I live in the US and my husband lives in the UK. This is not a sponsorship application so I submitted only our court wedding certificate when the application was turned in.) and finally, they were not sure of my legal status in the US . Even after a new PFL was sent, I still could not access the information I was told by the call center agent. It was still the questionnaire request that I kept seeing. All this happened shortly before the lockdown. I was shattered, exhausted, and did not want to go forward. With support from my husband and family, I took a few days off, cleared my head, and then responded to the PFL. We never waited to receive the full details of the PFL (and we never did receive it), we decided to work with what we were told by the call center agent.

For my work experience as a graduate and teaching assistant, I resubmitted all the letters I had previously turned in: letters from my supervisors (teaching) and research supervisor, a letter from the payroll department, all my pay stubs for 2 years. In addition, I submitted my evaluation report (usually given at the end of the semester by the students) and a copy of the manual I use for teaching. I also wrote a letter in support of this claim.

For our marriage, we resubmitted our court wedding certificates. We also submitted pictures from our dating days, court wedding in the US, traditional and white wedding in our home country, our WhatsApp messages from our dating days, Skype conversations, and emails. We also submitted letters: from my father, the bride's maid (who is my closest friend), my husband's groom's man, my colleague at work who I introduced to my husband, and my landlady who I also introduced to my husband when he first visited. These letters were attesting to the genuineness of our relationship and our journey so far as a couple. My husband and I both submitted individual letters detailing our journey from when we first met to the present day. We also submitted social media posts my husband creates yearly on our wedding anniversary and plant tickets detailing the travels we make back and forth between the UK and the US. Finally, we included documents for our joint property and joint bank account.

For my status in the US, we submitted my visa and other immigration documents (I-94 included). We also submitted plane tickets for the journeys I have made in and out of the US.

These documents were too large for the placeholder created for us in our application., we decided to upload the most important documents for the 3 issues we were trying to address and then we emailed CPC OTTAWA the rest of the documents. We also submitted all the documents by raising several web forms.

We never expected to hear back from IRCC very soon since the world was going into lockdown, however, 1 week later, we were told to resubmit the response about my immigration status in the US since they could not open the file. We did this immediately and then in the evening, we saw that our account was updated from 'document under review' to 'not applicable'.

At this point, the lockdown officially began and we took our minds off since we couldn't even get through to the call center. Surprisingly, 2 weeks later, we received an update. We called and were made to know that the eligibility was passed and the security just started. One week after, we received another update. This time the customer service agent told us we cleared all stages but a final decision was not yet made. We were thrilled, grateful, and happy,

I had to renew my passport since it was exactly 6 months valid. Once I got my passport renewed 3 months later, I updated IRCC with a copy. Now the wait was just beginning. We made it a point of duty to call at least once a week. The update was always the same 'all stages are passed, we are just waiting for a final decision''. We were told on another occasion that since my husband resides in the UK which is currently under travel restriction, our application cannot be finalized. By this time, my husband was already done with his Ph.D. program and so we applied for a dependant visa to the US. It was successfully renewed (all thanks to God). He arrived in the US two weeks ago. We updated his address with IRCC and just yesterday, we were told to submit our passport so we could receive our Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

A journey of 21 months finally came to an end in joy. I praise God.

I also thank this wonderful community for all the tips, ideas, and indirect mental support.

I WISH EVERYONE SUCCESS IN THIS JOURNEY!!!

My AOR is Nov 26. Got my GCMS notes on April 7th. My eligibility passed (by agent). Guess there is some movement. It wouldn't hurt to get the notes. I plan on getting one more in June.
what's the date on the Eligibility note? Agent wrote only 1 Note and it was in the end of Jan or beginning of Feb?

If like that it's just supporting the belief that the trend and disposition from above remains same. FYI, considering most of us passed Biometrics in Jan, by now we should have had passed both Eligibility and Criminality, and Info Sharing since it's linked to Criminality. For now, at best FSW-O has passed only 1 out of 2, and that is because after Biometrics they had to do the A11.2 check. Whoever got lucky - had Criminality passed quickly while it was still processed in January, whoever got less lucky - had only first check of Eligibility (not full pass). It's funny that obviously Info Sharing finished long time back (because it only takes 2-4 weeks), but no one reviews the files to mark it as Complete and therefore also close Criminality afterwards. It just shows that IRCC doesn't open our files.

I can mention same again. Don't be optimistic y'all, check the posts of people who applied in 2019 and received their COPR in 2021, it will be our case too. Until Nov there's no chance processing of Outland application will restart. If you are super lucky or by coincidence they might close 1 or 2 stages of your application, but no way they'll send you COPR. There is a slight chance they attitude will change to Outlanders if those are fully vaccinated, but they'll also wait for Canadians to have heard immunity - so it just means same timeline is in place - no earlier than late Autumn they will even consider us.

AOR- 23rd Nov
Eligibility- Passed
Criminality- Passed

Security- not started

Any idea when should i expect COPR? @legalfalcon
Security only starts after the eligibility is conclusively passed.

If your eligibility is conclusively passed, then if your security ha snot initiated, it soon will.

The security at an average takes 110 days as per the security screening manual. It can take longer or less, based on many factors such as whether you are inland, subject to record check or comprehensive security screening etc.

Like really "i cant mention this again, Don't be optimistic y'all" ???? That's not good to spread this kind of energy sir .. we can be optimistic no matter what. You can be positive regardless of the situation. it all depends on the mindset. So, please respect people's feelings who have hope as no one here is a visa officer to claim they know what exactly will happen like you just did.

Wow. Congrats. That's quite a journey. My friend had a similar experience who also applied from the US. IRCC had doubts about his work experience and asked to submit pay stubs or tax documents, current address proofs, and marraige proofs (he got married after the AOR). That was a learning experience for me too. I made sure I attached every single pay stub, LOE where I felt I need to explain few things. I did not want the case processing agent to find any problem with my documents and luckily my eligibility (by agent) was passed. My tip to people who are gonna apply: Attach every possible document you have. It won't hurt. If you need to explain something, write a precise and short LOE. There is no format for LOE. Just write like how you would explain a person

@MARYKE4NNY: Are you an FSW-O? If so, this is positive news for many FSW-O.
Yes, I am FSW-O. I'm happy to know that your eligibility is passed.

Thanks for your suggestion. Will do the same :)
I've the same timeline, I sent a webform and they replied that they can't provide any more information, contact NDVO.

I then sent a webform to NDVO, they replied back that they can't provide specific status due to covid, keep checking online account.

I wish If there was some way to change the VO.

You must be having VO other than New Delhi, right?

Starting with the end of the last month I sent 2 webforms to IRCC asking them about my application status, 1st time they reply to me that they confirm that the application is in progress and 2nd time they told me that my application is processed by VO Paris and if I want more info I should contact them. I sent one more webform to VO Paris asking them about my application status and they replied to me that they confirm that my application is in progress. So I found nothing. I appreciate now that the response time was 1-2 weeks not 1 month as my 1st time when I asked (in February), but then they provide me the status of my application and also the VO. I'll order a GCMS notes now because I think they will not provide anymore any information regarding criminality, eligibility and security via webform.

@legalfalcon I got an e-mail from the IRCC PR client portal asking me to send the below details.

Name
UCI
Email
Original entry date
Last entry date into Canada
Port of Entry location.

Looks like I have an option asking IRCC to create a separate account for each individual in my application to upload a photo or can have dependant's accounts created under the principal account. Which one is the better option?

My wife as well as I got e-mails from the IRCC PR client portal. If I'm choosing to have individual accounts for each, should I reply back from each of our e-mail addresses with the respective individual details? or should I include both my wife's and my details while replying back to that e-mail.

Appreciate your help !!

Hey all, so on Apr 22 i received the request for RCMP criminal record check. I submitted by fingerprints the day after on Apr 23, and IRCC gave me a one-month deadline (May 23). I have not received the certificate yet. I inquired about the status of the fingerprints and got the following response from RCMP:

Good Day,

Due to measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are currently experiencing service delays. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Further to your request for a civil criminal record verification for: Landed Immigrant Status

Please be advised that, according to our records, the application in question was received in our system on: 2021-04-23

We are unable to provide specific dates as to when the verification will be completed. Once we complete our search, the results will be mailed to the address indicated in your electronic submission.
--

So it does not look like i will receive them in time, will this cause my application to be refused? I sent a webform explaining (attached the rcmp response) and asking for more time. Any advice on what to do?

Has anyone received a GU today (Saturday)?

I've just checked my account and was surprised to find one. This wasn't a reloaded page/bad gateway glitch; it appears directly upon login.
