postdoc position, tax deduction and part time jobs

Hi All: I am lettey here.
I got a 2 years postdoc position in new Brunswick. The salary is very very low even then my experience. And I am excepting this position becz of the current recession due to COVID.
The salary amount is only 40k per year. I have few questions

1. How long it take for visa processing
2. Can I work part-time during my postdoc research. (d/N job)
3. I noticed tax is too much. do they also cut the same tax from a postdoc.

You will need to look to the limitations of your visa. Is it is a closed WP? If so you can’t work elsewhere. Tax will be the same as others making 40kin NB. Cost of living is low in NB which is one of the reason salary is lower. Are you married? If so your spouse should apply for an SOWP.
