i just read your comment about people waiting for 5 months
Actually go through details carefully
Those are all outlanders they won't be getting copr until restrictions are lifted
But we are inland and such delays don't know what to make of that??
That's why these days, i keep sending them my recent address, and proof to prove my spouse is living with me in Canada.
1/ If you applied under FSW stream, and then you came to Canada to live and work already, but somehow they think that you're still outside Canada so they don't issue copr yet. (FSW considers as outlander)
2/ Your spouse is living with you , but somehow they think your spouse is outside Canada so they don't issue Copr for both of you because of the travel restriction.
Best way is to order GCMS now to see what they comment on our application, and we're gonna solve that step by step by sending additional document via Webform.

I've found out that, those, who answer the phone and check the status for you thr IRCC, lots of them aren't officers, they don't have power to fix your case, they don't even know how to solve the problem- they just tell you to be patient and wait.

I don't blame IRCC as they've been slow like that for decades, I'm just fucking hate the covid this time, it causes all the delay because of travel restriction.

Now question is - why was this all biometric thing needed?

Biometric is for background check and identity. That's why even you had had gave yours in the past, they still asked for it.
Biometrics is the measurement of biological data while fingerprint is the unique natural pattern of ridges on the tips of the fingers.

so you mean they have no clue, who is enering Canada and when, and have no access to border service database? But they definately have access to visas database, and can ask if applicant (or spouse) has any valid visas right now, and determine if he/she could be in Canada that very moment.. I mean, it`s their job. Instead they put your application on hold forcing you to wait unnecessary longer.
