Hello Everyone,

I have student visa valid till July 2021. My studies will be finished at the end of April. I already have a job offer to start from May as well (on postgraduate work permit).

My question is, will I be able to travel to my home country (Let's say in April) and return back to Canada in May ?

you have work permit, you have valid visa and you have job offer.. the only what matters here your visa validity and your open work permit

I might not have the work permit approved by the time when I want to re-enter Canada. will that be a problem?

I got to know that work permit approval can take months :|

Does the approval time depends on the country we are applying from?

You need to be holding a valid TRV to be able to reenter Canada. Do you have a valid TRV?

TRV mean the stamped visa on my passport right ? I have "SW-1 Student" till July 2021.

My course program will finish in April 2021.

I just want to visit my home country for a personal reason.

However, If I visit my home country now, I won't be able to get back unless I have a postgraduate work permit right?

(Sorry, in earlier post I have mentioned as "Work Permit" , but it should be "Postgraduate work permit")

I called the CBSA and Immigration. CBSA directed me to immigration and immigration said I should be okay to enter.

I hope I won't have any problems with the return airline
