Congrats!

Wow congratulations! That was quick :)) I really thought that I need to include the RCMP clearance together with our application. My husband will sponsor me :)) I am applied for a Police Clearance from my country though (Philippines). I am still completing some documents.

I didn't include it upfront because it was said on an official site that we dont need to submit it
(You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada. )

And I have read in some thread that they didnt ask for RCMP from everyone (they ask if the name is suspicious/ has some potential criminal history).
Anyway, I am not certain about this fact and not sure about the upfront for RCMP.
(I did the police certificate upfront from Thailand (my country) and US (stayed longer than 6 months))

PS. Good luck on your applications :)

Thank you! I That's quite interesting as I learnt that nowadays, the IRCC take extra weeks or months more than the usual timeline of the average 30days to generate notes..
It's surprising actually, IRCC has been pretty much on time lately based on the experiences of some people (and mine) haha.

Hi Guys,

AOR 12 December

My sister managed to get hold of IRCC today. They confirmed the following:
Eligibility: Passed
Criminality: Passed
Background Check: Not Started
Medicals: Passed

What does do the background check entail? I presume they take the biometrics to see if I am wanted in a foreign country perhaps?

I have extended family in CA so will be able to travel. What do you think is a reasonable time frame from here?

Many thanks
