Dear @legalfalcon,
I have received remedical request for my PR application. Now I am in India due to emergency and my TRV also in process without that I can’t re-enter in Canada. So I will have to do my medical from India. Do I need to inform IRCC that I am out of country due to this this reason? If yes, Can I do my medical before raising webform and there reply? What would you suggest?

if anyone else also in same situation or have some inputs please share.Thank you in advance.

AOR: March 2020
Biometrics: Nov 2020
Everything is passed under GCMS notes.

Only the security is not started yet.

I got an email today requesting three things:

Medical- because its expired

RCMP criminal record check with fingerprints

Supplementary travel information form (IMM5562)

Oh wow! So they are asking for a re-medical instead of extending

Hi,I’m not sure if it’s mandatory to get the new SIN but I can confirm it’s a very easy and fast process if you decide to get it. I applied online and they mailed me the new SIN in 3 days.
Thanks for sharing, have applied online. Will see how long it takes now.

MEDICALS - Expiry, re-meds and extensions - If the medical results are about to expire then you may be asked for a re-medical examination, if required. If a re-med is not required then the medicals will be extended. This is how the process works - when the validity period of medical results expire or are about to expire an IRCC officer will send it for reassessment and the regional medical officer (RMO) at the IRCC Health Branch (HB) will make the determination. Based on this reassessment by the RMO the GCMS file is updated as extended or the applicant is informed to get the medical examination done again. At this time the process for reassessment is not automatic and has to be manually undertaken. Due to the manual nature of this process there can be delays in sending the file for reassessment; updating GCMS with the extension status or informing the applicant (tip - use the web-form and inquire about the status or request your GCMS file). As an applicant you can also get another medical examination done on your own accord , in which case submit the upfront sheet to IRCC via the web-form. Other things to keep in mind - if IRCC grants an extension then it will be for no more than 6 months; a re-med on other hand is valid for 1 year. Medicals are valid from the date as shown in the GCMS notes and that is the date when medicals were assessed by a Medical officer.

Hello everyone, I just need to know is there anyone received this kind of letter from CIC? I can't find the area where I can register the services
that they offered? and is these kind of letter that I'm getting the PR soon?

We are currently processing your application for permanent residency. You now qualify to receive pre-arrival services to help you prepare for your new life in Canada. These services are only available to you before you enter Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) funds settlement service provider organizations to deliver pre-arrival services at no cost to you. We strongly recommend that you use pre-arrival services. They can help you to: • Prepare for your move to Canada and learn about living and working in Canada; • Get your education, work experience, and professional licenses and certificates recognized in Canada; • Connect with employers; and • Connect with organizations that offer free settlement services, including language training, after you arrive in Canada. Explore the list of pre-arrival services available to you offered by the federal government or the provincial or territorial government of your destination: You will need to provide a copy of this letter when you register with the service providers listed on the IRCC website. Join us on Facebook ( ) and follow us on Twitter www.facebook.com/CitCanada ( ) for regular updates on immigration, settlement services and citizenship. www.twitter.com/CitImmCanada Sincerely, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
This is PAL letter and most applicants receive it. It means eligibility pass. Does not in any way mean PR is going to be approved soon. But surely means things are moving... Good luck.

My medical expired last July. No extension. I got a re-med request in August. My application hasn't been touched since Sept when they reviewed the 2nd set of medical results. Apparently I completed all stages in August, but still no COPR. lol

Hi @caipsnotes ,
When I brought this to my lawyer's notice, they didn't reply to me. Hence, I have raised the webform to update it. I even called IRCC asking them to update, but they said it can only be done using the webform. Feeling anxious until the email address is updated. Do we get a reply from IRCC when the email is updated, or do we need to call to check it?
Hi. That's odd your lawyer will not even reply back to his/her client but send in a web form and if you don't hear back you can always follow up with a call.
