Spousal visa vs visitors visa

Is spousal visa and visitors visa the same ?
If not can anyone tell me the requirement for the spousal visa pls

No. I was told that when my husband begin the sponsorship process I can apply for a spousal visa

This is incorrect.

You would apply for a regular TRV/eTA if you want to come to Canada. Your husband is going to be sponsoring you for PR through the spousal sponsorship process. There is no spousal visa that comes along with this process. You just apply for a regular TRV or eTA.
