Visitor visa during covid

Hello,
I need to know if any one has received a visitor visa during this time. My father passed away recently and my mother is alone. She has visited in canada in 2019 and has her biometric already completed. I am on work permit right now. Is it safe to apply?

Thank you for your kind words. It has been a difficult month for us. She had a visitor visa but it expired last year. I was uncertain if I can apply right now? Do I need to get a authorisation letter first or apply for visa? Please advise.

You will need to apply for a visitor visa and written authorization to travel. You can provide your father’s certificate as proof but written authorization may or may not be approved. Don’t know where your mother lives, but processing can take months.

She is likely to be denied if you say that. You will need to show that she has strong ties to her home country and that she will return home after her visit.
