@bmm651 There's a thin line between asking for help and being lazy.

We're all immigrants. Most of us are not good at English to begin with. Like myself, when I applied for citizenship I spent hours and hours reading the book, did as many practice tests online as possible, researching the details about the test and interview, while working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. I didn't ask for any help, coz everything is online, most of all, no one can help me study but myself. GOOGLE. That's all you need to do. A simple search, Canadian Citizenship Test, gives you about 17,900,000 results in 0.69 seconds, directing you to thousands of sites with practice tests. You want me to give you the link? Here's the link.
https://www.google.com/search?q=canadian+citizenship+test&rlz=1C1CHBD_enCA808CA809&oq=Candian+cit&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0i10i433l5j0i10l4.3559j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
You're asking what was on the test, whether the questions are more about remembering years or history people’s names. Not asking about how to study better. If I came across as rude, yes, coz from what I see you're not asking for help. You just wanna save your own time and have others do the work for you so you can study less. We're not in high school anymore. We're grown ups capable to take responsibility for our own life.

We're here to help each other. I myself got a lot of info here that I don't find else where. Especially info about case process time, updates, and many more. I'm grateful for this forum and still hanging out here once in a while coz I hope to help others if I can. I'd be happy to help if I have the answer to your questions that are not asking about what the test content is.
@741953 Thank you for explaining. And also, lets remind ourselves not to name call or judge other's efforts or determine who is "Lazy"

For the sake of an argument, Google has been there always, be it for immigration or applying citizenship. Yet we have 100s of member relying on the experience and opinions of fellow members here.

Again as you said, YES, you can google. But sometimes, not all, are good at making sense of the "17,900,000 results that are tuned in 0.69 seconds" Also for example the cic.gc.ca has got all the information about immigration and citizenship, yet members here share their experience and what has is working for them on their application front, so that others can benefit.

Another example : is this post : https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/application-for-canadian-citizenship-a-comprehensive-guide.687393/unread which was authored by one of the senior members. The information contained here is no different from what is detailed out in cic.gc.ca. Yet someone takes the effort to do so.

Again as stated earlier TESTS, GOOGLE and application process is overwhelming for a lot of folks. If someone ask what type questions come, yes, that is a valid ask --- as the book has a lot of dates , names and history... Some people find it difficult to create an information map . Also understand, when you say English is something that some are not good at , so are other skills like comprehension, studying history , remembering dates/names, which are important to help you excel the test.

I know for a fact and it is my person experience too : I do very average in tests , especially in objective tests, but would do great if they were long answers.

So yes, please help if you can, else move on to posts, that suit your time and effort.

When do you think they are going to send us an oath invite?
So my interview went very well. It was very fast. Just identity and document check, that's all. The officer did not see any issues with my application. Now what's left for me is to wait for the oath. I feel so relieved right now. My status changed today to decision made. I wonder when the oath invite is going to arrive. I'm sure that they have Easter break now.
Congrats! just wondering if you have extensive travel history during your eligibility period and did you travel after applying ? Also how long did the interview last for ? your comments will be really helpful

Just saw your "unhelpful" post. Yes "you didn't ask for any help" because you are super smart unlike we dumb people. So please forgive us. And yes, we don't know how to use GOOGLE amongst several other things - so again, forgive us. Yes, we are LAZY, infact I claim to be the world's laziest person. And I will not change. So STOP preaching and lecturing others. If you are stressed, release them elsewhere - this forum is NOT the place to remove them. This forum is to help each other. If you don't want to contribute, nobody really cares. There were other helpful members who did reply to bmm651 after your rude, unhelpful post/s. Perhaps an opportunity to learn from them on how to be helpful?

P.S: I worked for 23.5 hours a day, 7 days a week for 17 years. Yup! But then, does anybody really care? Is it even relevant to the Citizenship process? Or the original question at hand?

Hi all,
If I am currently outside Canada and I wanted to know if I received the test invite, do I have to do the test from inside Canada or I can do it from abroad? The same question for the interview and oath, do I have to do them from inside Canada or I can do them abroad?

Thank you

All invitations or requests for test, interview and oath would be sent by Email. Yeah unfortunately, though they are online, it's a requirement that you have to be physically present in Canada.

If you are not able to make it, then simply ask for a new date when the test invite is received. It will surely delay the process by few weeks. However no need to rush back within the 3 week window that's provided for the test...if you are not able to. Stay safe and plan your trip wisely, so that you aren't paying exorbitant prices for airlines and quarantine in Canada.

I applied citizenship in May 2019. AOR August 2019
Have not received test invite yet.

No updates what to do?
It should take a month more. I have seen most applicants with AOR from earlier months getting test invites. So yours should be coming shortly
