Hello everyone,

I will be graduating at the end of next month (April). My plan is to get a job in May and work for around 1 month in Canada and then go back to my home country for few months (I have a family matter to attend).

Since most of the companies in my field are operating in Remote work mode, I think I will be able to get approval from the employer. Will there be any visa-related issues?

To re-enter Canada, you need a valid job offer including mention that you will have the job following quarantine. The work out of country doesn’t count as Canadian experience.

Thank you for the reply.

But I am still authorized to work with my PGWP right ?

But can not work for a Canadian company without having work authorization in Canada
Yes, if you are working in Canada. I thought you were talking about working remotely from your home country. If working from your home country, you don’t need work authorization.

I am in Canada. So I think to get a job I'll have to utilize my PGWP and after few months go back to my home country and work remotely.

If he wants to work and be paid in Canada he needs a permit but if he is working as a contractor and being paid in his home country there isn't a problem.

It is taking many months to get your PGWP so once you leave Canada it will be a problem (if you haven't received PGWP) unless your employer wants to pay you as an independent contractor from your home country.

I have the right to work when I am in implied status right ?

Once approved, I can get the permit couriered (DHL). I just want an income when I go back, jobless for too long

Once you leave Canada, your implied status ends.
