I also applied for my BOWP, my wife's SOWP and my kids' visitor records extension at the same time and the application was split into 4 after that.

That said, I've attached the same explanation letter for every member of my family, in which I explained exactly what we were applying for and how our applications were linked. I'm still waiting for an answer, but I can confirm that they are treating them at the same time since I had 4 simultaneous GUs Saturday evening.

Did you provide an LOE explaining what you were applying for and how your applications are linked?

This is exactly how we were expecting our applications to proceed. Although we didn't provide the same LOEs, each LOE did mention the two applications. I fear that we should have been much more explicit with the explanations of the linked applications, if the IRCC officer overlooked them.

If you have provided all the explanations, you should ask them to reconsider. The officer definitely didn't understand something.

As a suggestion for our draft

We are a category of Express Entry (CEC class) inland applicants, having accompanying outland dependents in our files. The AOR of some of us is 2019; all Express Entry process stages marked passed or have security left as per GCMS notes. Many of us have not seen their families for 12, 15, 19, 24+ months, as travel restrictions banning from non-essential travel do not allow primary applicants to quit Canada. Their families cannot come to Canada as well due to the widespread IRCC refusals to enter temporarily even for family reunification purpose.



The worst part is that per last IRCC procedural provisions, the PR files of our category are not finalized due to the labelled «inability of overseas dependents to travel”. In fact, it is just the opposite. As per June and October 8, 2020 travel exemptions, overseas dependents are able to enter Canada as the immediate family members of permanent and even temporary Canadian residents. It means that when a primary applicant gets COPR, dependents, as his immediate family, fall immediately under latest travel exemptions and having PRVs and COPRs can travel to Canada and land without an issue at the port of entry. Contradictorily, our PR files are on hold due to this apparently artificial "inabilty of dependents to travel". For that reason some of our PR files are untouched by the IRCC officers since the middle of 2020 being in a queue for final review.



Moreover, in spite of existing travel restrictions currently we observe numeral PPRs issued by the IRCC to the outland applicants of FSW and PNP EE streams. It turns that currently we are the only EE category neglected by the IRCC in terms of finalizing of the PR files. To underline, the only one Express Entry category separated with their families. All this sounds so inhuman towards the long-suffering families.



PR finalization is the only and much awaited way to reunite for our families. We plead you to reconsider IRCC provision that holds PR files of inland applicant with overseas dependents from finalization as their families are authorized to travel and ready to comply with every safety requirement.

Totally agree. I sometimes wake up at nights and can not breath. I have not seen my husband since August 2019(((( it feels like a torture. Hanging for 18 months. This rope hurts so much. Sorry guys for complaining. But who would understand better

Already did yesterday. They sent a reply to submit written recommendations and the committee will include them into their report on covid impact on IRCC. Not sure if it helps us but we are going to use every tiny chance they give us. Going to do it today, as it's deadline.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me understand this. I researched a lot on CIC website but getting confused.
1. If outland spouse gets her SOWP approved she is a secondary applicant on CEC file. Is she eligible to travel having a Letter for Work Permit and being a spouse of Temporary resident? or she has to have a job offer.
2. What is current success rate for SOWP? Given Spouse Visitor Visas are being put on hold for many.

If she get her SOWP, spouse work visa and authorization letter from IRCC she can come in Canada and won’t require a job offer. Regarding the rate of success I don’t know, I haven’t applied for mine. Am waiting to hopefully hear some good news before June. We can only keep the faith and hope for the best
