Hi all, a question form my end, I have 11 years of experience but will be showing only 5 years because of issues with reference letters. Will this be fine? All 5 years in 2172, so my CRS score doesn’t change

Click on my signature, there click go to tracker, sort as per application submitted date. Create your case as well. We can monitor (watch) other cases. That should also bring our anxiety of waiting down.

Hi All,
Submitted my documents on 8th March. When do you think they will start looking at the documents. At the moment the status on OINP says submitted

Hello guys,

I got my NOI for OINP - Human Capital Priorities Tech Draw on Feb 16, 2021. I submitted my application today March 19, 2021. CRS score : 460
NOC: 2147.

I have provided all the documents as per the requirements. However, I have a problem with IELTS expiration which is due on March 23, 2021. Though My IELTS is valid on NOI date and OINP Application submission date, it is going to expire just 4 days after OINP application submission and payment.

I have taken an exam on March 14 (results announced today March 19), but unfortunately I could not get my past score of CLB 9 in Writing which missed by 0.5 and it reduced to CLB 8, other sections are Listening - CLB 10, Reading - CLB 10 and Speaking - CLB 9 (all are same as previous IELTS result) , if i have to update this result now to keep my Express Entry profile active then score drops significantly to 403.

I have submitted an Letter of Explanation today , mentioning I have my IELTs valid till date for OINP and I will update my EE profile once new IELTS is done to keep my EE profile active. (did not mention about the today's result which I have now).

As per OINP at the time of submission IELTS should not be more than 2 years old which is met in my case.
Will it be a problem if OINP checks my EE profile and finds that score has become less now (before I update next test result)?

What if I may take some time to get back that 0.5 extra to CLB 9 in writing, when ideally OINP starts looking at our documents and EE profile after application submission?

Please provide genuine inputs.

Thanks

You are on right path. Give IELTS again.

For exact timeline check this tracker. It takes at least a month.

Hi. I received NOI from OINP on my primary NOC. But I don't have one year experience in the last 5 years. The primary NOC was 8 years back. I have my secondary NOC which comes in the recent 5 years and it is similar to the primary NOC. Can I change my secondary NOC code to primary NOC code (provided that i can match the duties) which is within the last 5 years? Will it create any issues. Please advise

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Am reappearing for my IELTS to get back the 0.5 band in writing (stay at CLB 8). Please let me know, if my situation remains same like I could not improve the score again. What will be Ontario's decision? I had valid IELTS while I submitted application but my CRS has become low after that. Will they consider OINP nomination or ask new results to match old score of CLB 9 ?

Thanks

Please clarify what is your total experience, and NOC for each job in the past 5 years. You have to match the duties in your reference letter of jobs for at least 1 year in the past 5 years.

Hi,

I too submitted my OINP profile on 18th March, 2021, and I have a couple of questions;

  • In my EE profile, I had work history and education of my spouse mentioned, so my CRS score included points for the same. In the OINP profile creation form, there's no place where I could mention and upload ECA report and work history of my wife, so in my letter of explanation, I attached those documents instead and also uploaded the same separately in "Other" within Family Documents section. Along with it, I've also authorized WES to send my wife's ECA report to OINP. However, I missed including first and recent payslips of my wife with the letter of explanation (but in the letter itself I mentioned that I have attached both, experience letter and payslips) while in reality I only included wife's experience letter and not the payslips. Will this be a problem that I just missed including her payslips despite explicitly mentioning it in the letter of explanation?
  • My EE profile expires on 31st May, 2021, and given that processing times of OINP profiles takes 60 to 90 days, if I don't receive the nomination before 31st May, what should I do?
Thanks!

If you are primary applicant, then only canadian education and work experience of your wife is required for OINP. So ECA for secondary applicant is not required. There is no option to upload that.

Also regarding work experience upload docs only if your wife has canadian experience. Reference letter is mandatory. If you have not uploaded payslips, you can email them. However, only if canadian experience.

Not an expert my two cents.

Yes I agree that spouse work experience and education is only mandatory when it is from Canada, but since I had it mentioned in my EE profile, I included those in my OINP profile via Letter of Explanation. I think they'll just ignore those documents if not relevant.

Each PNP program has different requirements, and may not 100% match with IRCC express entry profile. I just did what is asked in their application checklistfor OINP.
