I don’t know why they assign the files to Ottawa if it is unable to handle the workload. Other VOs are processing PR in 6-8 months. Moreover in case of students they finalise the applications in 3-4 months only.
Actually they don’t bother about the mental frustration of the applicants. Our life is paused, we cannot make any move for the future endeavours, cannot plan for the higher studies of our kids, unless we know whether we are staying here or not.

Dear @legalfalcon ,
Thanks for your valuable inputs which is appreciated by the entire community. It would be very helpful if you could please advice me on my situation pertaining to Proof of funds and impact of currency fluctuation.

My profile:
COR: India
Program applied: FSW-O; single applicant
AOR: 26 January 2020
Current status as per last GCMS: all stages passed; file "ready for approval"
Medicals expired on 11 January 2021, no update on extension or re-medicals yet

Question - at the time of AOR, I submitted Proof of funds which translated into 13,650 CAD (required for single applicant was 12,960 CAD). Since then, CAD-INR has increased from 54.3 to 58.2 and declared value of Indian currency in CAD got decreased to 12,683 CAD (which means a deficit of 277 CAD). Current balance in the same savings bank account as of today stands at 18,000+ CAD. Would you advice me to get an updated POF from my bank and share it with IRCC through a webform? Please advice. Thanks in advance for your time.

RCC has clarified:

It is as on the date of submission. If your PoF falls below, the office will contact you and you can add more funds. Alternatively, you can also send a revised PoF document via webform.

Hi

just wondering, if we got the Covid vaccine, is it a good idea to send it via inquiry to the IRCC?

thanks
I asked in my last call and they said that at the moment it is not considered as a factor. That said, I think it does not hurt to send a web form to notify that (and maybe ask for an update in the meantime, lol!).

Hi guys, I have a question for those of you whose GCSM notes says "final: approved" but still not issued a COPR yet.
My GCSM notes says that COPR was issued September 2020 and that it is valid for a year (of course I don't have it yet)but does that mean that the COPR has to be issued to me within the year? I am just so anxious that it could be extended again and we could be waiting a third year!!!

Hey did you receive COPR ?
My medicals extended yesterday but waiting for COPR

How long does it take to receive COPR after medicals extended ?
There is no fix timeline at the moment. Since medicals can be extended for either 6 months or 1 year, that would be the reasonable time frame.
In general it is reasonable to think that once they extend your medical they are ready to make a decision in few weeks/months, but there are also cases in which even the extension expires and they ask for re-medicals.

Hi guys,

is there anyone else whose applications are still not finalized with AOR in Jan, 2020? My medicals expired in dec, 2020, got re-medicals request in jan, 2021 and my profile got updated that my medicals passed on feb26, 2021 . Its been nearly a month and dont have an update after that.

There are many like you waiting since Jan 2020. If your VO is Ottawa then there is no specific timeframe.
