Totally agree on your point #5. That's so true. I dont have any accidents/claims yet my insurance keeps getting higher on every renewal because of these insurance company's "statistical data" shows that accidents/claims increased on my area.I know it is not the right forum, but here are my 2 cents:
1) You can find a used car in 5K-10K range. So buying a used car is not the problem.
2) If you are a new driver, then your Auto insurance could be more than $500/month (in GTA area)
3) If you live in an apartment in GTA, then add around $100/month for parking.
4) So total $600-$700 just to have a car. That comes to ( 12 X $700 = 8400$/Year)
5) Technically you will be paying more than the value of used car in just one year for Insurance and Parking combined.
