I know it is not the right forum, but here are my 2 cents:

1) You can find a used car in 5K-10K range. So buying a used car is not the problem.
2) If you are a new driver, then your Auto insurance could be more than $500/month (in GTA area)
3) If you live in an apartment in GTA, then add around $100/month for parking.
4) So total $600-$700 just to have a car. That comes to ( 12 X $700 = 8400$/Year)
5) Technically you will be paying more than the value of used car in just one year for Insurance and Parking combined.

Good luck!

Totally agree on your point #5. That's so true. I dont have any accidents/claims yet my insurance keeps getting higher on every renewal because of these insurance company's "statistical data" shows that accidents/claims increased on my area.

Sorry, what forum should I use for such questions? (I am new here)

Be prepared to buy a new one every week if you're in the GTA. Bike theft is so rampant and done so brazenly. The silver lining is that you'll probably get discounts from the thief after you go back for the 100th time to buy back your stolen bicycle.

And good luck reporting it to the police. Apart from a useless 5 minute phone conversation, nothing will happen. You might have better luck crying for 5 minutes in the off chance the thief feels sympathetic and returns your bike lol
