Please I need your help. I had a baby before I applied for my permanent resident in Canada. I got my PR and came to Canada before I knew. I need to bring the child to Canada and make her recognized as my child.

Please how can I go about this. I really need your advice. I was thinking about contacting IRCC and explaining to them. Thanks for your responses.

It sounds to me like you need a lawyer. As I understand things, if you submitted the application for permanent residence and did not include any dependents you are unable to sponsor them at a later date.

Agreed with the first post. Sounds like you are going to need to retain a very competent immigration lawyer.

How did you get PR? Through which immigration program? You may qualify to sponsor your child under the undeclared dependents program depending on how you yourself immigrated to Canada.

I got my PR through SINP

In that case you unfortunately do not qualify to sponsor your child under the undeclared dependents program. I would recommend that you hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with your case.

Please are immigration consultants different from immigration lawyers?

Yes - they are different.

You need to hire an immigration lawyer - not a consultant.

Your case is too complex for an immigration consultant.
