Hi all,
I’m going to take a chance and ask so maybe someone when through the same thing and maybe can help me.

I filled the formulary for citizenship application.

At the end question 18 where i have to date and sign I put the date 2021-march-08 witch is the same that in question 9 for the calculator.

But everytime i get a pop up saying that the date on question 18 should be the date after (on question 9).

it’s confusing because I saw everywhere that the dates have to be exactly the same.

I will appreciate if anyone can help :(
Thank you
The date your sign you application should be a day after your eligibility end date. So if you are going to sign it today, make sure your eligibility ends on the 11th (Print an updated calculation), and put the date of the application as the 12th.

I moved to Canada as PR and never went outside Canada for over 3 years (1224 days)

What should I select for the question -

Did you leave Canada between 2016-03-13 and 2021-03-12? Answer 'Yes' if you left Canada for any reason including vacation, work, business, family matters, school, illness, etc.

I never left Canada however I lived in India in 2016 before moving as PR.

Please help.

Are you talking about living in India before 2016-03-13 or after 2016-03-13? Because it usually takes the period of 5 years from your date of landing, meaning that the date 2016-03-13 is the date you landed in Canada as a PR. Is that correct?

Hello everyone, I have lived in Canada since 08/2016 but only just have become PR in 2020. Can I count these 5 years as the 5 year period requirement for citizenship or it only counts from the day I landed and became PR which is 11/2020? Thank you.

"What are the physical presence requirements?

To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years immediately before the date of your application. We encourage applicants to apply with more than the minimum requirement of 1,095 days of physical presence, to account for any miscalculations of absences, or any other aspect that could lower the physical presence total below 1,095 days. Please note that you cannot meet the physical presence requirement without a minimum of two (2) years as a permanent resident.

When calculating your time in Canada:
  • only the five (5) years immediately before the date of your application are taken into account;
  • each day you were physically present in Canada as an authorized temporary resident or protected person before you became a permanent resident counts as half a day (up to a maximum of 365 days);
  • each day you were physically present in Canada after you became a permanent resident counts as one day;
  • time spent serving a sentence for an offence in Canada (e.g. serving a term of imprisonment, probation and/or parole) cannot be counted towards your physical presence - there are some exceptions."

Hey guys, I have a few questions as I'm preparing my application. I'd really appreciate any help / experiences.

1. Hey guys, in question #5 “Have you ever used other name(e.g. Alias, Nickname, previously married, etc.).” Should I mention that my colleagues at work and some friends call me by English version of my middle name cause it’s easier to pronounce?

2. if I had a work permit based on LMIA should I say I was a “Temporary Worker” or “Temporary Resident Permit Holder”?

3. Should I treat the Bridging Work Permit (implied status) as a separate work permit or continuation of my previous work permit?

4. When I received my work permit before the 5 year period (2014) but it ended within the 5 year period (2016). What date should I put in the calculator when they say "Please only list the periods of time you had authorized temporary resident or protected person status in Canada and the type of status you had between 2016-03-15 and 2018-02-22 and select Add Entry. Select Calculate when you have finished listing all periods of temporary residence."? the 2016-03-15 or the actual starting date from 2014? Also, Should I split them in 2?

5. Just before my work permit ended (June 2016) I submitted an application for the "bridging work permit" and I had implied status up until February 22 2017. On that date I received an email that it ended. Which date should I use as the end of that work permit? The actual expiry date on the work permit or (June 2016) or the letter fro CIC officially ending my implied status?

This question throws me off. I guess they speak only about citizenship or any permanent immigration statsuses (refugee, permanent resident). Though in the help drop-down explanation it mentions student/work/employment. These are not immigration but visas. Like not clear still if they need to be mentioned.
Yes, it also mentions visitor as dropdown. I missed to include visitor status in my application. You ever got answer to this query?

i need help to fill the given name and family name. i dont have any family name in my documents. when i have got my COPR they put my given name in family name column. so i need suggestion that should i put my given name in my family name in my citizenship application. more over if i keep family name blanket so that column indicates red outline and when i keep my given name blank. it does not show any red outline in that box. so its means i put my given name in family name and keep the given name as blank?

Put your first name in the last name field and leave the first name blank.

Hello everyone. I am planning to apply for citizenship online within this month. I am just confused what to answer for this question: have you ever help immigration or citizenship status in another country other than canada?
i landed in canada on dec 8, 2017. But in December 2016, i visited dubai just for 6 days as a visitor. I am really confused do i need to enter that details too?
If yes, which dates do i enter in issue and expiry of the visa? As my entry permit was issued on 14th dec 2016 and was valid till feb 2017. But i only went to dubai for 6 days. Do i just enter those 6 days?
If someone has same situation, can you please suggest?
Thanks in advance
