Hi Lovely People,
I have some doubts regarding furnishing the details related to my immediate family members. I do not have "Last Name" for my immediate family members. How to proceed with the application because "Last Name" field is required. Let me know if any of the following resolution will help:-
1- Put "NA" in last name field.
2- Put complete first name in last name field.
3- Put "No Name" in last name field.
People mostly have a combination of two in their names where it would be mentioned and first and last name and middle name would be written as N/A.

Hi,

I have the same issue with the details for immediate family members. My parent has no last name and only given name available in the passport.

Kindly let me know what did you do in this scenario and if it worked.

The application does not go forward without the required details in both First and Last name section.

Thanks

I happened to see the following info on this link :

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=014&top=4

Do not use initials.

If you don’t have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

If you leave the given name field blank

If you’re applying to sponsor your family, you can’t validate Schedule A (eIMM 5669) with the given name field empty. If you need to leave it blank for the above reason, you can print it without validating it, and include a letter with your application explaining why you had to do this.

Although this isn't the exact solution in our case, going by this logic I was planning on putting the first name in both fist and last name sections and explain the reason in the LOE.

Please tell if we have to mention parents and sibling name ( who are part of application) for family of child.

Hi Guys,
I wanted to cross-check this information. Do we also need to enter the information for my family (spouse and kids) those who are already listed on the application? What I understand is that entering the information about the family members listed in the application is not needed. Please clear my doubt. Thanks a lot!
Hi...i have the same question..do i have to put in this section my cild's name even if she's included in my application?
