Re-Apply visitor visa for Son

I and my family applied for Canada visitor visa last year i.e, FEB 2020. And we were unable to travel to Canada due to the pandemic. Now my Son's passport is expired with that the visa also. We have renewed the passport from him. Can I now re-apply the visitor visa for him this month itself? My and my wife's visas are still valid for 5 years.

I know traveling is not possible but I want to apply and travel later when the restrictions are eased.
Am in UAE and my job will not last long, hence I want to apply. I want to know what are the chances of getting him a visa if I apply in these couple of months?

Visa processing from UAE is over a year right now so you will not get it in a couple of months.
