Hi my wife and I are planning to apply for the express entry but are not sure under which noc should we be applying. My wife will be the main applicant and she has worked for 4.5 years in a BPO and her last designation was a senior executive. We are not sure which NOC would she fit in. We know it's under customer service but don't wanna go wrong. Kindly advise.

NOC is based on duties and not on the designation.

try using a few key words from your wife’s duties and search for it in the NOC database. https://noc.esdc.gc.ca/Home/Welcome/6e25b7b46c4443838b20bad16b6b0287?GoCTemplateCulture=en-CA

Thank u so much for the swift response. We felt NOC 6314 was most suitable but it also stated financial institutions which is something she hasn't done. Therefore we are unsure. Also do applicants in manager capacity receive higher points in the same industry as compared to executive or supervisory roles.

The work experience points granted depends on the # of years as long as it’s NOC 0, A or B AND not on the NOC category. So having a NOC 0 won’t give you more points than having NOC A or B.

the only time where there’s points difference is with the job offer - 50 (NOC 0, A or B) or 200 points (NOC 00). https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=112&top=29
Thank u so much for the clarity. Could you also clarify that for how long does one have to have worked in a supervisory role to be deemed eligible to work as a supervisor. In short how long should one have worked as a supervisor to be eligible for the the supervisor NOC... As my wife grew from where she first joined as an executive and later became a supervisor..

I don’t think there is such thing — # of years needed to be eligible for supervisor NOC. As long as your reference letters shows you’re performing the duties of a supervisor for xx number of years, you’ll get the points equivalent for that. (3 years a supervisor, then you get 3 years worth of CRS points)
