Hello all. I'm trying to see if anyone with Edmonton office has received a test invite. Given that we now have Dec 2020 Online Citizenship Applicants getting test invites, I'd like to know how many are still waiting.

I am planning on going downtown to protest out front of the building later this month. If you're interested in joining me, let me know so I can make a list.

So, I'm guessing no one has received a test invite or oath ceremony invite from Edmonton?

Yes I agree seemed pretty quite here, IRCC might be busy admitting the 401,000 new migrants, money talks first, $630 was already taken in 2019, so people can wait

I'm from Calgary and our office is super-quiet as well. I think it is the same all across Alberta. I don't understand why.
Looks like if we're quiet, then they are quiet too.
I've done all the usual things: webform inquiry, calling my MP, etc. I applied for my GCMS notes today, so I'll see if that shakes anything loose.

After that it's an ATIP request for the numbers: total online test invites from Edmonton and Calgary offices, total oath ceremony invites from Edmonton and Calgary offices, etc. Then I'm off to Global to see if they'll run a story when I stand in front of Canada Place with a picket sign.

I'm tired of excuses.

I've done a webform inquiry, contacted my MP twice - no luck at all. I think I'm gonna apply for GCMS notes today too.

What I don't get is why MPs are not standing for us at all here. But when the election come they will run after us, send us booklets, knock our doors asking to vote for them. I feel like the only way to change things now is to make MPs and the government understand that all they do is they are pushing us, tens of thousands of new citizens, to vote for someone else.

I think, if I am not wrong, I have seen some Calgary and Edmonton applicants getting test invitations, but only a limited amount.

I took the test in January and have not heard anyting except for "please be patient" and "you can put your appication on hold if you want" from them.

Why would you put your application on hold after taking the test?!!!!
I must visit my home country for a personal reason. But I have to be in Canada for the oath. I have little faith in IRCC, I feel like if I miss the oath this time or put the applicaion on hold, I will have to wait for another year or two for the next oath invitation.

You did the test and are almost at the finish line! I wouldn’t put it on hold.. But I also understand. I am from Calgary and can’t believe I’m waiting for those 20 questions for ONE YEAR. I had to be Canadian for ten times already!
