Hi All,
We sent an application for me to sponsor my partner back in November, and still haven’t heard anything- is this normal?! We now need to make an update to the application (new baby), but because we don’t yet have a case number, I don’t know how to do this. Any advice? Is there a number I can call? Thank you!

We applied inland April 2020, we received our first email containing a temporary application number 5 months later and didn't receive an official AOR until Jan 2021. It's going to take some time and unfortunately, there's no way for them to update your application until you atleast have a temporary file number. I have asked last year if there was anyway to find out more information regarding my application and was told there was no way to locate it without an application number. Maybe someone else can offee some sort of advice, but based off what I've seen and experienced, the only thing you can do is wait. Covid has created many delays for everyone

You can submit a webform. It will be easier if you get a file number first, even a temporary one.

I submitted a web form earlier this week and haven’t had a reply from that either. Does it usually take a while to get a reply? The problem is the webform also asked me to quote an application number, and I don’t have one. The only reference I have is from my payment receipt, but not sure that will get me anywhere?

Thanks for replying. How did you ask anything before receiving AOR? Is there a number you can call?

Usually 10 days or so for a reply, could be longer these days. To be safe, once you get AOR resubmit the same docs you just did so you can be sure it catches up with your file.
