I actually texted the lady where I'm staying and she blocked out the day before my official arrival date so I could definitely leave the hotel on day 3. If I get back 200 (excluding meals) from the 326$ daily I'd be more than happy

Fairfield is a good option for early refunds that's why they are overbooked due to being in demand the entire March.
Other than that,
Real time situations are still unclear, nobody is entitled to interpret the exact and may be wrong. It's a humble suggestion to go by the rules for now.

Evidence of prepaid accommodation includes evidence that accommodation for that person has been paid for, before or when that person enters Canada. This obligation 8 does not impact boarding. Travellers are obligated to provide evidence of their booking at a GAA to a border services officer or Public Health Agency of Canada quarantine officer upon arrival in Canada.
Travellers should not be denied boarding if they have not yet booked their GAA."

Having said that, please try your best to book a quarantine hotel. There are multiple numbers now. If money isn't a problem then postpone your tickets till you get a booking. But i understand many wont be able to afford to change dates. In that case, officially no one can deny you boarding.
Someone in Australia was denied boarding and she showed this document and a couple of official tweets from the government agencies and some articles citing this. She was allowed to board. AIRLINES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DENY YOU BOARDING FOR THIS REASON ATLEAST.

Personally, I will enter my German number into the ArriveCAN app and I'm letting the Canadian SIM card get shipped to my hotel's reception so I can edit the German number to Canadian. I just took a 25$ plan (incl. taxes around 28,xx) with 3 GB of mobile data. I will then upgrade to 7 or 10 GB once I'm out of quarantine. I did it with Rogers

Not yet. Most people are doing it for March. Atleast i haven't seen yet. Also, i have a feeling they won't entertain April bookings, but I don't want to find that out by sitting on a call for 3 hours.
I am yet to book flights. Thinking of between 6th-15th April, whichever is cheaper. But i am also told by Makemytrip to not make bookings before 28th Feb as travel regulations might change then.
Oh okay. I’ll try hotel booking by March mid then. I’m planning to travel on 14th of April. When do you plan on doing the hotel booking? If you plan to travel between 6th and 15th? March mid?

Oh yes. This is certainly allowed. If you are traveling together, you can share a room. Some hotels allow up to 4 people in fact.
Nice for you to say this, but my airlines/airport staff are illiterate. Not sure what to do..
