@legalfalcon, I would love your take on this, sir.

I have received the CBSA report I ordered from your website in time. Thank you!

In my report, security is blank (assessment) but it says further in the report that it's not yet started. What does it mean?

If the security is blank, then surely a request for the same has been sent, but may not have been processed. When officers who have a reason to believe that an applicant may be inadmissible pursuant to section(s) 34, 35, and/or 37 of the IRPA, but need additional information to make a determination, send a request to the National Security Screening Division (NSSD) and screening partners.

Also, it will depend whether you will have a comprehensive security screening or a record check. Just wait and soon you will have it done.

To read on security, how it is done, and the manual, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

and what is the reason for requesting RCMP for some inland applicants, and not for others? There is legend in the forum that says when someone with the same name pops up in their system, IRCC requests RCMP to verify they are two different persons.
Starting 2018, all biometrics are run though RCMP. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/corporate-initiatives/biometrics/process-steps-2018.html

Ideally, IRCC should not be asking for PCCs anymore, as they get the same results via the RCMP biometrics.

However, the practice continues on a case by case basis. As per IRCC, it is always at an officer’s discretion to request a new or additional police certificate from the applicant.

If there is a possibility that an applicant has lived or visited Canada before, they can ask for RCMP PCC. In very rare cases will a duplicity of will trigger this, which usually happens in cases of security. Where two applicants may have similar names, a more thorough BGC may be required before they are cleared, specially of one individual which whom the name matches is known for some criminal or security related activity.

In some cases, females are exempt from the requirement.

@legalfalcon I have a question.
I claimed 3.5 years of one experience ( lets say exp-1) (though I needed only 4 months for it)
Exp-1 was attained during my PhD degree, as a research assistant. However, my current employers shows my CV on their website and it shows that experience to be of 5 years. Actually according to my professor I was working independently during the last 1.5years working towards my thesis. So he issued a reference letter for only 3.5 years. I have only mentioned 3.5 years in my entire application. by if someone search my name on google. my current employers page does popup. Is there anything to worry about (should I Inform IRCC) that I could be treated as misrepresentation ?
Hi @legalfalcon about this.. one thing that's Bugging me is that I have only mentioned 3.5 yrs in the employement history and the personal, the rest of 1.5 years are not mentioned anywhere (not even in the personal history) will this be an issue ? Should I raise a webform and kinda update my personal history or is it okay ?

The employment history only has to include the work experience for which you are claiming points. For which you are not, can be in your personal history. There should be no gaps in your personal history. If you did not mention something, then you can update that via webform.

There are no gaps though. It actually is overlapping my education already..
It's like
PhD from Sept 2012 to dec 2017.
Research assistant Sept 2012 to Feb 2016.
Still should I mention the other other 1.5 yrs ? Like till dec 2017 ( prof issued certificate till only feb2016).

Is your Eligibility passed by an officer, do you see something like this? Security may not start unless an officer has passed Eligibility

When security is in progress you will see something like this.

Can you please tell me the date you requested the notes and the dates the notes were generated? I want to see how much progress since your request is included in the notes. Thanks

The process is all getting people more worried. They'll come through.
I heard Accra has started returning people’s passports now without the stamp. You would think vaccinations would mean that things would move but no.. it’s just getting worse
