I am 10th June applicant. Application in process since Dec 2019. Nothing has changed since then.
Parents are in Canada on super visa. Two years of stay limit is expiring on 24 May 2021. is there an online link to apply for visa extension?
I don't want them to travel in this time of COVID, thanks

You can extend stay in Canada during pandemic, my friend sent email to local MP about same issue and MP reply after contacting IRCC.

Email from Local MP

“I hope you are well!

I was able to speak with IRCC on behalf of your mother’s visitor visa. IRCC stated that because of COVID-19 they can now apply in Country.

IRCC sent this information:

Coronavirus - Temporary resident status will expire soon

The Government of Canada is closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and any impacts on IRCC clients.

If your current status as a visitor, student or worker will expire soon and you are unable to leave Canada due to travel restrictions or other circumstances related to impacts of the novel coronavirus, you may be eligible to apply online to extend your stay in Canada.

To apply, please visit the page visitors, workers or students or International Experience Canada (IEC) participants on our website.

Important information

  • If you are still waiting to receive a supporting document or complete a medical examination, rest assured that your application will not be refused if you cannot complete those steps due to COVID-19 disruptions,
    • we invite you to include a letter of explanation with your application,
    • once you are able, please complete the steps as soon as possible to avoid delays.
  • If you apply to extend your stay at the latest on the expiry date of your status, you are allowed to remain in Canada until a decision is made on your new application even if you initial status expires. This is called implied status.
  • You should not travel to a port of entry (POE) to apply directly to a border services officer,
    • travelling to a POE from inside Canada for the purpose of getting immigration services is not considered essential travel, and you will not receive these services.
For more information on the situation and to receive up-to-date information, we invite you to verify our website.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.”

My parents are here since March 2020 on visitor visa while waiting for sponsorship application which is stuck in process since last year. I requested for there visa extension for 1 year on August 2020. I did not get any response back yet and now its almost 6 month from my original request. Should I request for another extension or just wait as in my original request I asked for 1 year extension?

110% refusal ! They don't care , if your father wants to come or not. If they make exception which will not happen, your mother gets PR and she turns around & sponsor your father under spousal sponsorship, cic will have to process. I am not saying your mother will do that & I trust you but CIC has black and white...no grey area.
this is a very interesting topic and i am replying an old post...sorry about that.....but what if the dad or mom who is single now due to spouse death and gets re-married after landing in canada or in home country when they go back after LANDING only - do they have any legal rights to sponsor their "now" new spouse after LANDING? thanks

Hi, my mom is here on supervisa(visitor) and I want to apply her police clearance for India through BLS. She is asked to submit the address proof of canada. Being a visitor she has no canadian address proof. Anyone has been through same phase, please help.
TIA

Have you got AOR for your visitor status extension? if yes. you don't need to worry about anything. Once they approved, they will issue it for 1 year from the date of issue.

As a sponsor, you can use your address proof for applying PCC at BLS.

as long as their extension is in process and until you get a yes/no response from IRCC, your parents can legally stay in Canada under "implied status".

You can wait till you hear back. We applied for extension in May 2020 and heard back in Dec 2020. Best wishes!
