Hi,
Is it possible to change my status to student? I'm not sure if I understand the requirements. I'm not accompanying any family member. Also I'm still waiting for my visitor record approval, does that mean that I should wait to get it approved to then apply for a study visa? Thanks in advance

You have to apply for a study permit as you can't just change your status? Do you have acceptance from a DLI school? How long is your program?

So I haven't enrolled yet but I'm thinking of a 1-year program with Co-op. You think I could apply from inside Canada? Although I really want to go back home to visit family and then come back if possible to start my program ... I don't want to leave and not being able to reenter if you know what I mean...

Applying to study is a long process. Have you done your IELTS?

I do not refer to spouse application but INSIDE or OUTSIDE Canada

If you use incorrect language you can't get mad if I don't understand. You have a better chance of being approved for a study permit if you are living outside Canada and have strong ties to your home country.

Well, your assumptions are not that wrong. I don't understand how people like you pretend to help by looking down on someone who can't speak the language properly, because that's what sharp answers and pretending you don't understand sound like to me. In that case, if you were more empathetic you would be of more help. But thank you anyways.

There are inland and outland applications for other visas so others have thought there are inland and outland applications for study permits which is why I responded why I did. Your chances of getting a study permit if your spouse is Canadian or a PR are very different because your ties are stronger to Canada and it will be clear that you don't intend to return to your home country. Would suggest applying for an advanced degree like a masters or PhD.
