I have also received the reminder email for Biometric. I have already paid the biometric fees. Should I ignore the email?
In my letter, it was mentioned that " disregard the reminder if you have already paid and submitted your biometric fee with your application" and yes that's what I exactly did.

I do not understand why they have to send and a reminder of the Biometric fee if they open the application they will find the receipt with it. I hope the IRCC receipt is itemized. The whole process is very daunting and I hope all of us will get a good update soon. It is stressing me.

You guys are lucky to get what you are getting. I am January OUTLAND and it doesn't seem like we are anywhere as caught up as you guys. Only a few applicants from September and November have received letters. PLUS you are with your spouses. I am so jealous! lol :) Good luck to you all.

I would give almost anything to wait in the arms of my husband. Every day that ticks by kills a little more of my soul and breaks my heart just that much more. I waited a long time before submitting because of outside reasons, but I do feel for those that have submitted years ago and still wait.

Did you try applying for visitor visa?? I am sure you would have tried multiple ways possible to enter Canada. I know that people come to Canada after getting study or work permits, which is easier to at least get in to Canada. I feel your pain. Hopefully something good will happen sooner.

I am in the US, so I am exempt from needing a visitor visa. I just went over to visit during Christmas break. My worry was going and having issues with Canada from quitting my job and affording bills like paying my car note. I did not want to give Canada any reason to deny me entry/PR status nor did I want to cause financial strain from waiting for documentation and the ability to get a job, especially with COVID slowing everything down. We figured it was better to wait it out and work in the meantime as I am an "essential" worker.

The other factor is my ex. I have had no contact with the man for a few years now but he has found ways to make my life miserable in the past. We have gone to court many times and he is stalker level crazy (Has been seen outside my house on several occasions, knows things he shouldn't so we suspect surveillance, is suspected of flattening my tires NUMEROUS times - over 12 new tires in a 2 year period and many more outside of that, accusations towards me and others that would blow your mind, has abused my kids, but he seems to never be looked at twice by the authorities). Because my youngest is still underage, I would have to give the court our address, which I do not want him to have when it comes to Canada. She is terrified of the man. She is 17 and by the time this is processed, she should be close to 18 or over, so I would not have to worry. She is the main reason I have waited for a few years to file outside of questionable legalities that I have received different advice on from different lawyers. I really wish my ex was not an issue now, but he won't be for long.

My application was Received on January 11, 2021... I can see the message Application received on ECAS online, but I did not get any Biometric letter reminder by Email or anything Yet. Just wondering why Immigration Work like this, I feel there is not standards in the process....

This is the problem with IRCC. There is no definite or standard procedure. Grab file whatever you want to, irrespective of when those were received. I remember, once as a student I was already in Canada and applied for Visa, it took them 4 months to issue that (processing time was way lower than that), and when applied for post graduate work permit, I got it in 25 days, processing time was 80-90 days back then. I dont understand how they choose what file to work on and in what order!

Totally agree with you, I have a friend of mine she sent her application just couple of day after me and her application was delivered on jan 14 just 3 days after mine, she got the Biometric Letter reminder with an F application number but when she search her application on ECAS is not found, this is I am asking myself it's good that my App appear on ECAS already that mean I am ahead or not ? why mine appear on ECAS and hers no , those are the questions that I really ask myself
