Because some one applied in Aug 2020 did not get any response from ircc like no bio fee reminder nor temporary file number email ...
does this mean some thing wrong with application ????

They sent out the temp file numbers to almost everyone, some have had to call in or send in a webforum asking for the temp file number.

Thats pretty much normal... sadly they are 4 months behind on the actual processing of applications. Even if you were to recieve the full acknowledgment it does not really mean anything other than you bugged them enough about your forms and they just made sure they were all in your file then put you back in the regular processing line. i would say around may is when people from august will start getting processed and hopefully see their owps.

Guys please let's do some thing possible to make a wake up IRCC instead of putting ourselves on a fire ourselves here. Let's we all come together and protest or write a single letter to IRCC minister with all of us signed.

If you look at January and February applicants from 2020, most of them have received SA and AIP. March applicants have just started to receive SA. I think the overall timeline for Spousal PR (12 months) is still being respected. While it is taking forever for applicants to get AOR, processing of Biometrics, Medicals and other intermediate steps to SA/AIP is really fast.

This of course, is still a huge inconvenience to those who find out 6 months later that their application is incomplete. If you're really worried, keep bugging them and maybe they'll check your file and you'll get early AOR/reassurance that all your ducks are in a row.

Talking to them enough they get to the point of checking the bare minimum of you file to just lower the amount of calls they receive.

I understand family reunification for outlanders but they need to see who needs to be prioritized by looking into the application package. Who does not want to come to Canada from overseas right? everybody has family somewhere some part of the world, but they are not suffering, enjoying their lives with other family member and friends . Why not just keep them wait little bit making sure they are safe. At this time government needs to do is keep people safe. Covid testing kits are not hundred percent effective, and covid rates in Canada is skyrocketing. This is Not all outlanders should get prioritized, like getting AOR in couple months and our inland's applications not even seen for those who have been living in Canada for a long time. How about people living in Canada without documents get infected covid-19 right? I don't have money to cover the cost. I have not been to my relatives house here since many months.
Hello, yea I see your poin, totally on it whit you, but I apply for an outland application and I can tell you is been ages seens wee started, the fact of been separeted for soo long is crucial, you and your spause are a year apart, things can get strange betwen 2 separeten individuals, and long distance relationships are dificult if you are most of the time whit your spouse. I understand your poin and respected, the truth is that all family reunification most be priority for the guvernment, hope wee all get to the end soon...

Are we able to link the application with the temporary file number? Or is there anyway other way we can check the status of the application online..?

Hello,
I found this forum and hope this is the right place for this question.

I've applied for spouse sponsorship for my wife (Inland) on Aug 24, 2020, and the document package was delivered on Aug 26, 2020, in Mississauga office.

However, I have not received any update from cic. Today i've sent the web form request for an update. when i check the spreadsheet, most of the people got the temp file number (which we did not receive). Is it possible that somehow our application package got lost?

I think that the only option is to call ircc, and ask them, the other option is to wait... I think people from how thinks are moving is possible that you hear something this mont... Hope the best.

Feeling slightly paranoid around this time. Apparently, based on what another user was told IRCC is checking applications for completeness months in advance of issuing AORs.

For example, based on the spreadsheet the following people have had their applications returned:

Received April 22 - Returned November 30
Received April 26- Returned Dec 6
Received May 19 - Returned Dec 30 (This one may be the date they updated the spreadsheet, not the date it was returned)
Received May 25 - Returned Nov 16
Received June 6 - Returned December 8
Received July 28 - Returned December 24
Received July 30 - Returned December 27

AORs, with the exception of a few outliers, are currently being issued for mid-May.

This likely means that August applications are currently being checked for completeness. Hopefully if we make it through January without having our applications returned we are in the clear.

Try calling the 1-888-242-2100 number early in the morning. This morning I gave it a try right at 8:00AM and only waited for like 5 min on the call.
I did apply in Aug 2020 (sent it Aug 24, got delivered with UPS on Aug 26th).

We had no update until yesterday whatsoever but were able to get the temp file number today.

Call them as soon as their phone lines open and also complete the online webform to bring it to their attention. While you wait for a reply (which could take over a week), keep trying their phone lines:

I also noticed this tendency and I truly hope this is the case! Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.
