Hi,
Good day!
I have applied online for study permit application on Apr. 2020. I received a Procedural fairness letter on Aug. 12, 2020, saying that I did not disclose my previous US visa refusal and that if I have engaged in mispresentation, I will be inadmissibled or banned to Canada for 5 years. On Aug, 18, I replied and explained very well that with honest mistake I forgot to include that in my application form and that is not intentional. As per the instruction in the letter, I sent my reply tru webform. Along with that, I also sent a letter to withdraw my application because of financial reason and that of COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, I am getting worried as I have not yet received any feedback until now. Hoping that they will accept my apology and will not ban me.

Guys, is there anyone of you got the same experience? Awaiting for your kind advise. Thank you.

Hello brother.. Sorry to hear that.. Did u get an AIP before rejection or straight procedural fairness letter??? And from which country are u??

@Ironclad ..is this possible. Cause u will only come to know abt ur other visa rejections after biometrics.. Isnt it??

This is not a refusal, it's a ban for not mentioning previous rejections to other countries on the forms by accident.

I suggest the OP to send another web form since the last one was sent when COVID-19 lock downs were at peak.

brother . can u share ur full application details. like biometrics, medical visa category etc.

Fill out the web form as per your enquiry (ensure you put that you applied for ‘Temporary Residence (online)’ then ‘Study permit’

The webform can be found at: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp (click ‘tell us more’). Fill out as shown below then click ‘Go to Web Form’:

Choose "No" if processed by an office outside Canada ( i.e CPC Ottawa )

They can check everything as they have access to such technologies, nothing to worry if one had filled the application forms correctly.

US and Canada share information so very easy for them to find out pre AIP.

I got it... As I see two visa officers check the profile. So I believe the first officer almost confirms the status of an application. But then why there are many after AIP rejections. I really don't understand the logic behind this

I believe this information is procured while doing a background check which starts automatically the moment you apply. With advanced technology it is not that difficult to procures basic information such as a declined VISA. Recently on this forum someone got a ban because their agent submitted some fake education documents.

I received procedural fairness letter after submission of application. I applied in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Not necessarily, as they are 2 separate criteria's. No one knows the actual process used but it could simply be based on a complete form. I have seen candidates getting rejection reasons as course not in line with study, language skills, etc even after getting a AIP.
