Hi guys, I wanted to get your input. A few nights ago I submitted an enquiry for withdrawal because I thought I was not going to be staying in Canada long term. I realized it was a mistake and called IRCC to note my account to disregard the withdrawal (which they did). I then got a response stating the following:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you wish to withdraw your application, we invite you to send us a signed written request before a final decision is reached in your file, as follows:

I am just worried that I may have caused some issues now. I replied to this and explained that I called IRCC and would like to disregard the withdrawal request.

Any input would be great!

There are no issues. No need to worry. The first time I applied for sponsorship, I had to withdraw my application as we ran into some trouble towards the end of the process.

You have to write a HAND SIGNED letter requesting a withdrawal and send it through web form. If you haven’t done that, there is no need to worry.

Hello all, just want to get some idea. I mistakenly mailed my son's docs on Feb 18, 2020 (inland application) to Mississauga instead of Sydney, Nova scotia. They didn't mail my docs back yet. Is there any inland application here that has applied around the time that I did?!!! PLEASE SHARE WITH ME your application status?

Did you have any problems re-applying? We have an inland application in process, but it has been sent to Etobicoke office and we need to travel urgently by this summer and from what I hear Etobicoke is a nightmare with their wait times. We will submit Outland if we withdraw our inland application.

No, no problems at all reapplying. Check the status of your application online to make sure a decision hasn’t been made. If a decision hasn’t been made, you can withdraw.
