Our medical was extended for a year validity is this a good sign towards our ppr . We have been waiting since nov 2018 . Please help I don’t know what is taking so long

These people I tell you, I just copy this section from cic news. Sick how they fooled us about how many thousands of immigrants will be accepted by end of 2020 but yet the minister of citizenship said they're prioritizing people in canada first. These people only want our votes, they don't care about us. SIC

Coronavirus safety measures, such as travel restrictions, have reduced immigration to Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s strategy for immigration intake during the pandemic has been to prioritize applicants who are already in Canada. As such, the federal government is increasing immigration targets to over 401,000 new permanent residents next year, and up to 1.2 million over the next three years.

Any updates ? I sent a webform on Wednesday. No response. I've been in background check since December.

Is frustrating def i know what you mean. This covid thing is a mess. The fact is that IRCC have to work with foreign authorities to be able to have their office opened and all. We don't own decisions outside Canada.

Per example Mexico is surrounded by a really big wave of covid, so until it's solved , sure that taking a move and opening fully an office is difficult, they should have sent the batch of applications to another VO in an not too touched area or even inside Canada like at Missisauga to finish some cases.

That's the thing we can tell them off at. That they never swap any applicatons on wait nor dispatched any which was totally possible to do,

I feel like you and my husband are in the same boat. Like they buried Nov 2018 applications and forgot about us. Idk how some people on this forum got approved in less than a year.. or approved after submitting an application post COVID.. makes no sense to me

It is so upsetting how does this happen to us

I am so furious about post-covid applications being approved ahead of all of us who have been waiting for 1-2 years. It is grossly unfair, I word I try not to use in this process because I realize it is inherently unfair. But it is so beyond ridiculous that they are reviewing and approving applications just because they were sent digitally over all of us whose hands are tied with a paper application. I wrote a very passionate letter to my MP about this which she hasn't acknowledged. Someone in her office tried to defend Mexico and the IRCC but there is no defense for this.

The really frustrating thing is that there is also no recourse for us. We literally have to just sit here and take it, sit here and wait like chumps. It is a horrible.
