Your question isn't too clear. There are two different scenarios.

1) If the child who is 22 was issued a COPR as part of the primary applicant's application to Canada, that child can land in Canada after 22 years old - as long as the COPR is still valid and the child remains unmarried.

2) If the child who is 22 was included in the application but was not issued a COPR (i.e. was included as a non-accompanying dependent), that child needs to be sponsored in order to get a COPR and PR. However once that child is 22 years old, it's too late to sponsor them.

Thanks 4 reply. So student if she is admitted in a 3 years course and she turns 22 in 2 years; we have to re-apply for her as we wrote dependent "TO FOLLOW" under her name.
2ndQ if she interrupt studies and get her COPR just be4 the 22 age, can she go back on same COPR to continue studies or she MUST have PR? PR card will take a year !Thanks

I think the part to understand is PR card and PR status are not the same.

If you apply to sponsor her before that age, when she gets the COPR she can travel to Canada to become a PR. Thereafter, her status is not (directly) linked to the PR card - she can leave the next day (ignoring for time being covid restrictions and the like). Going forward from that date she will need to meet residency obligation (730 days in five years), but that may provide enough room to complete her studies.

PR card can be sent to your address later. If she needs to return before PR card is received, she'd apply for a PRTD (travel document) - not on the previously issued COPR.

Thanks 4 good answer , I am Citizen 4 long times now and did not know these things. We'll put her in a 2 years course 2021 to 2023 , that will give her 1 year room as the COPR expires on medical dates, but I think we must re-apply her as anyone like a spouse-family and Date of receipt of her application she should be under 22 yrs at this date again! Even if her age is already locked in as per my Signatures at MAY 2019 but same will apply if she had to follow mom after studies?

Her age is not locked in.

You need to sponsor her for PR and IRCC needs to receive the sponsorship application before she turns 22. Only then will her age be locked in.

BUT I applied 4 both mom +dtr they gave both of them MEDs but refunded BIOM fee of DTR who was supposed "to follow" as per app. So looks like 2 times lock in of her age 1st to verify if she qualifies as a dependent, 2nd when wife comes here and we re-apply this child? comments plz

I'm not sure what you mean by "to follow". Dependents are either accompanying or non-accompanying. These are the official terms. If she was listed as an accompanying dependent, she would have gotten a COPR at the same time as her mother got a COPR.

Assuming she was included as non-accompanying, the application to sponsor your wife did not lock in her age. When your wife comes to Canada and then submits the application to sponsor her daughter, this is what will lock in her age. Again, this second application must reach IRCC before she turns 22. She must also be unmarried at this time.

I do not understand the details of what you're asking. Other posters have been specific: application for your daughter must be received by IRCC before she turns 22 (assuming she was non-accompanying then).

I'd only caution: you may wish to apply before, well before, what you are currently considering. Things happen that may confound your plans. It will be easier to maintain her PR status with planning.

Once your daughter becomes ineligible to be sponsored by you, that's it - she would thereafter have to qualify on her own.

I am guessing that OP wants to save a trip for dependent to travel for soft landing?
That's not possible. Dependent needs to land before COPR expires (can be at the same time or after Principle applicant lands).
Dependent's age is locked in when the application is recieved. (so in this case, seems like part of sposual sponsorship)
If dependent did not land and is being sponsor again later on by the landed PR parent (needs to be her own parent, not step parent), her age is "locked in" at the new application receive date. Not when she was previously listed as dependent but did not land.
