Thanks! It is because my medicals were extended for 6 months before I got the PPR on 8th December.

Thanks! That's what I hope as well. At least some exemption for COPR holders should come in before that
Congrats Akhil!
QQ - Were you able to see the extension on your profile?

In my case, PPR was received on 17th December 2020. I'm not sure if medical is extended because my CIC profile has the same status since last January.

I still cannot see the new date on my profile. It still shows the old date. I called up IRCC and got to know that they extended medicals for 6 months

Does the gcms notes mention about the period of medical extension? I got my extension back in october and have ordered gcms notes last month, which hasn't arrived yet, to check the new validity period of medical.

It will show the date till which your medicals are valid.

Hello everybody!
I received my AOR on January 5th 2021 . This is my status:

Review of eligibility- We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results -You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents -
We do not need additional documents.
Interview- You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics- We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check- We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Regarding the medical exams, does this means that I have passed them and I have moved to IP2 stage (and any day i might expect the email for the passport)? Or I haven't passed them and I have to wait?

Thank you in advance!

The status on your account does not say much, you should send a web form asking about the status. Namely the status of Eligibility, Criminality and Security, and ask about what happened with your Medical results, if they got extended, and ask if there is a final decision on your application

His AOR is 3 days ago. 5 Jan 2021, unless it was meant to be 2020.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I received AOR in 2021. Is it supposed to say: “You do not need medical exam” at the beginning (and later change the status to passed)? Or did they just skipped this step due to Covid?

Also I will get married on March. But if the procedures are faster now then should i get married earlier so my husband can come with me? (And not wait for spousal sponsorship).

Thank you!

Nah the procedure is not fast.
Majority of us are waiting for ppr for more than 11 months after aor now.
Get married, spend some time with your family.
The next step for you would be medicals/biometrics.
The status of the application will change during the process.
Just hold on there. Post covid, the pr process is a fun ride, full of surprises and no timeline.

But I already did medicals before AOR and submitted them in my profile. Thats why I thought that I dont need to do them again
