Yes. But frustrated though. Most likely a CEC draw. Waiting at 468 past last cut off because previous Ielts expired.
Is anyone here still waiting?
Yes! I am currently sitting at 467 and have had a long journey until here.
  • I got in the pool at 470 last February after WES delayed my ECA by 2 weeks.
  • Lost the feb draw ITA at 470 due to tie breaker rule.
  • Then, the 4th March draw happened at 471 (1 point higher than my score). This was when IRCC stopped FSW draws
  • In May, my score dropped to 465 due to age and I lost all hope!
  • Still managed to increase score in November to 467 with my spouse's improved IELTS score after 6 attempts
  • The last 2 Draws in December had 468 cut-off (again 1 point higher than my score) but they renewed my hope
This 6th Jan, I was waiting desperately for the cut-off to hit 467 or lower. Statistically, it should have. But, once again, IRCC changed things and broke the pattern when i was so close.

I guess it's not meant to be. Every time i come close, IRCC stops conducting all program draws. It's been so emotionally distressing.

Meanwhile I dont think IRCC will issue anything today because its late, even though I wish a draw is happening

Alot of CEC candidates lost their status due to pandemic .. significant no of people lost their jobs.. so the government doesn't want them to go back as they have already established themselves in Canada and has valuable Canadian work experience .. I am just trying to explain the situation and government has also extended the public policy that allows them to stay till Aug 2021 without any status .. another factor is COVID .. right now Canada has more cases than ever almost 160 died in 24 hours due to covid and Ontario is under strict lockdown .. especially the new variant of COVID is spreading in Ontario right now which originated from London .. so basically the govt wants to process inland applicants to avoid the spread and also right now, all the government services are unable to deliver regular services at normal pace .. like a simple work permit application takes months .
You CEC people and your “valuable” Canadian work experience... last last all of us will reach this Canada and get this work experience.. haba!

I understand how you feel , but don’t give up. Hang in there, although we don’t know what IRCC is currently up to. With the current trend of 5000 ITAs, anything can still happen with 467. If there is a way u can also learn French incase you maxed out IELTS already, you can try. Wishing you all the best.

sounds like you are the one who got problem with CEC people. He was just explaining what government officials are saying again. immigration minister also said the same thing in his interviews so please don’t start CEC vs FSW again.

Hats off to your courage!

But honestly, 6 attempts on IELTS to increase 2 points? If you had 470 points, it means you have a very good profile and honestly my frnd, you deserve better than spending your time and money on something which is very uncertain. Plus, the struggle is not worth it, because, this is the start of the struggle. Check if you are eligible for any other country for immigration. At least the ones in which the struggle doesn't start after you get a PR..

Yes, my IELTS score was Band 9 but my husband had to give a few attempts to maximise his score. I guess we didn't want to give up then but now m getting so tired of this.

I am also sitting at 100 points for South Australia 491 and at 90 points New South Wales 190 visa in Australia. Unfortunately, because of covid, Aus is not inviting off-shore candidates for this year (July-2020 to June-2021). Otherwise, given my score, there was a high chance for me to get Australian PR. And now, I will also lose 5 points for Aus PR in May when i turn 33 years old.

I guess COVID just cost me a lot.. 2 Potential PRs, stranded away from home for 8 months and lost my job too. 2020 was kind of a bitch to me and i was so hoping for a better 2021.
