Hello everyone!
Any news on April 2019 applicants?
My wife and I applied in April 2019 and in process since August 2019. No news since then. And we even do not need to do the test as we are over 55. Did anyone receive any online interviews?

Hello, I have the same timeline, and still have not heard back on any test/interview. Where did you apply from?

Thanks for your reply. We have applied from Sarnia, Ontario, and I think our files are being processed in London, Ontario, unfortunately, one of the slowest one :(

I applied in early April 2020 via regular mail (I should have used express post ). I have not heard anything, not even the AOR. I called them a couple of times and even used webform to inquiry about the applications but I am told that they do not have any record of my application in the system. Is it possible that my application is still there and not picked up yet? Anyone in a similar boat? I am beginning to think that my mail was lost by Canadapost and never reached there, or I used the wrong address (very unlikely as I am usually very careful when it comes to shipping stuff). I am thinking to send a new application with a letter of explanation about the situation. What do you think? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Oufff, so sorry to hear about that. When it comes to confidential and time-sensitive shipments, ALWAYS use a trackable/insurable method.
At this point, it looks like most AORs issued these days are for mid-July, given your timeline – I strongly suggest you submit again, via courier.

Hello all,

This is my first post at this blog. I have applied for Canadian citizenship on April 2020 and the file has not been moving for a while. I had called them and they have informed me there is nothing wrong with my application and I just have to wait. Unfortunately, due to the delay my original passport got expire. Since I don't have any ETA on when the application will be completed, would you suggest to renew my existing passport and just wait until the application will be completed? When I reviewed this blog, some of you seems to be waiting like me. But I also see a lot of the applicants compelted their application (a big congratulations to them). Why some of us are waiting for such a long time? Does anybody know when can we expect for the next step, it has been such a long time and the process has made me very concerned.

Feel free to provide your input on my current situation. My application details are below -

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 10, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 30, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on September 20, 2019.
  4. We sent you correspondence on October 11, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Status: In Process

FYI - I have submitted the requested documents (biometrics) on Oct 11, 2019 right away and they have confirmed that they received the documents.

Have you tried requesting for your GCMS notes via Access To Information act?

Who is left and waiting from April 2019 Applications. Nothing has changed on my end since taking the test in December of 2019. Still in process. Just frustrating waiting so long and not hearing anything.
I am still waiting, I had some issues with the fingerprinting step (my fingerprints are poor quality) so had to get them done a few times. Hopefully 3rd time is a charm.

Same here. It looks there's quite a few waiting now.
