Hi,

I'm planning to apply visitor visa for my parents. Have a proper medical document stating my medical issues and expecting family support after post partum. My due date is on 29 April 2021.

I have a open work permit visa which is going to end on Jan 2021 and applies for extension which is under processing. Also I have applied for PR which is under processing.

Are there any one with the situation. Please guide me by posting your thoughts and suggestions.

As mentioned in your other thread, your parents will want to demonstrate ties to their home country such as employment, property and assets. They will also want to demonstrate that they have sufficient savings to pay for their trip to Canada. Lastly, it will help to get an approval if they have previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US and UK.

Do not say anything in the application about your parents helping to take care of your child. IRCC will view this as working without authorization.

You should submit the application as soon as you can. Right now processing times for TRVs from India are 250 days.

Thank you so much for your response. Should n't I include the doctor certificate as per your statement?

You can include it and say that you would like your parents to visit you for emotional support or something like that. However don't say they are coming to help you around the house or help to take care of your child.

Depending on the province you may also need to fight to keep your provincial health coverage on implied status. Believe Ontario/OHIP is difficult to deal with. Would make sure you have a plan B in case they don't get approved or get special authorization to travel especially if you have other children that need to be cared for if/when you're in hospital. With processing times it may also take more than 3-4 months to process.

Yes, we have consulted MSP team and they told that they'll support till April irrespective of implied status.
