Hello,
I am trying to calculate and predict my CRS but having trouble because of my special situation. I am breaking them down to a list so that you might review them easier.
My CRS is ranging between 400-475, so those points are very important for me to make sure that I am on the correct path...
I am also planning on working with a certified immigration consultant once I have my Express Entry invitation to make sure everything is on track. How much money do I need spare up for that?
Thanks,
Newbiegrant
Note: I posted the same thread under another topic but I guess that was the wrong one but couldnt be sure so if admins kindly let me know I will delete the one that is under the wrong topic.
I am trying to calculate and predict my CRS but having trouble because of my special situation. I am breaking them down to a list so that you might review them easier.
- Education: I have an A.S. in Electronics from reputable onsite college program in my country of residence and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management degree through a remote/distance learning program. When I get my Bachelors it will not be stating that it is a distance university program since it has no difference with on site program. I will probably complete this Bachelors of BA in 2 years or less since I have some of the classes in my previous transcripts.
- Since I will have 2 degrees A.S. and B.M.A one of them is a Associates(2 Years) and other is Bachelors(normally takes 4 years to complete but I will complete in 2 years) can we count those as two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees?
- If it does count as two or more degrees will distance learning cause any of my points to decrease compared to on site program, again it does not state it on the degree but if they ask I will tell the truth.
- If it does count only as a Bachelors degree, but it does count as a distance learning how can I calculate my final CRS?
Distance learning counts for education points, but not for bonus points in your profile or application.
- I have attended to a US community college for one year without receiving a degree or certificate does this somehow affect my score?
- Work Experience: I have 2 years of work experience as a data science consultant in a multinational reputable company. I am concerned if they do not count this as a NOC Skill Type 0, A or B since I do not have a Bachelors degree at the moment. I got accepted to this position with my non traditional background and currently doing pretty well, my collegaues are all engineers or people with M.S./PhD but we work together and do the same job.
- Certificate From Canada: My current CRS ranges between 400-474 depending on my questions above therefore I am planning to attend to a one year IT related certificate program and work 1 year through post graduation work permit. On the colleges website they state that it is a program for "Certificate of Achievement" does this count as a one year certificate program in Canada and will I be able to get one year permit afterwards?
My CRS is ranging between 400-475, so those points are very important for me to make sure that I am on the correct path...
I am also planning on working with a certified immigration consultant once I have my Express Entry invitation to make sure everything is on track. How much money do I need spare up for that?
