Passport Validity for Study Permit Issue.

Hey everyone.
I got my OPR from the Canadian Consulate and submitted my passport.
I got the following doubt after submitting it.

My program is a 5-year course (2020 Sept - 2025) and my passport is valid until mid-2023.
So, right now they will issue my visa until whenever the passport is valid, and I shall extend it when it is about to expire. Right?

The below para was written in the OPR:

Passport requirements
• Please provide your passport or travel document, with a copy of this letter.
• There must be at least one blank page in your passport.
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.
'''

Yes you can extend it easily from inside Canada when it is nearing the date. The process does not take that much time and not require extensive documentations like the initial application.
