Hi,
Planning to create an express entry profile early next year. I've been convicted of a misdemeanor case 5 yrs ago. My question, can I apply for criminal rehabilitation prior to creating my express entry profile? I've been reading a lot of posts saying that results come out after a few months so I was wondering if I can apply for the rehabilitation earlier.

Yes, you can certainly apply for rehabilitation first. I would definitely recommend that since processing of the rehab application can take anywhere from a few months to over a year.

Note that in order to qualify to submit the rehab application, five years must have passed from the date you completed the sentence / paid the fine / completed the probation related to your charge (i.e. it's not five years from the date of the conviction).

It has been five years since I completed the sentence (1 month). Thank you for your response.
